On a recent Q&A Steve mentioned that they may run out of anchor talents for Coliseum Collection to complete the LJN roster (with the talent available). My question is for people who love the Coliseum Collection :
Would you still buy a wave without a big anchor?
I’m thinking the likes of these (just as an example - no thought put into these!)
Mene Gene & Cowboy Bob Orton
Kamala & Honky Tonk Man
Freddie Blassie & Bobby Heenan

It’s an interesting concept. I’d assume Jake was the anchor talent in the second wave, but that Rude with the red robe would be just as desirable and make this a 50-50 set in my opinion.

The anchors don’t mean a damn thing to me. I want Ted Arcidi , outback Jack and special delivery Jones MORE than Warrior or Savage at this point. I have a ton of them anyways.
I’m all in on this line. Hope it goes deep with characters.

It would just depend on which guys/gals were included. I prefer talent we have not gotten many figures of.

I'd buy Kamala and Honky. They're both toyetic as hell.
But dropping big $$ on Cowboy Bob and Mean Gene or Blassie and Heenan would be a tough sell for me personally.

I think people buying them are people who collected LJN’s or had some as a kid and never quite got a complete line/collection. I would love it if they did the same thing with the SFTM figures.

I mean they can go pretty deep with anchors.
Main Eventers they have:
Hogan
Savage
Andre
Piper
Bret
Warrior
And your mid level guys Jake and Rude who can still anchor a wave:

Coliseum Collection preferably, I’m hoping that they have some ftil figures up their sleeve like the rumoured capt Lou and much more to keep this line going for years. Especially at 4 figures a year. Obviously we are getting a Piper, macho, warrior and probably another Hogan. Guys like Jyd, Andre, Studd, Sheik and Volkoff are no brainers. I hope they have some surprises like Fuji, Adonis, Dynamite kid, slick and maybe some guys like Bundy and Hillbilly Jim that haven’t had figures in over a decade. |
