Okay well if the JBL Series (Series 5) is hitting then I think we need to ask the question - WHERE is Series 4?
They've really gotta stop doing this, making exclusive figures (Eric Bischoff) and then they are not made available - anywhere.

I'd also like to point out the severe lack of secondary market sales for Kevin Nash and Shelton Benjamin. With so little available online, even at scalper prices, one has to wonder where the entire stock went, the same stock that Walmart cancelled all the preorders for.

Going from paying $16 or whatever it was for the Jakks Adrenaline Haas/Benjamin 2-pack to $50+ for what is essentially just the modern Mattel version of that Shelton alone is a hard sell. I know inflation + scarcity + secondary market = this, but man does it suck dealing with these never-stocked exclusives. I am not looking forward to that MNW line whatsoever, and that was a dream come true in theory.
I wish the strategy going forward was doing an ubiquitous Monday Night War line with Walmart only getting an exclusive variant figure instead of having to rely on them for the whole set. That way instead of missing out on an entire set or just a few that prevent you from building the BAF, you can just not find the Walmart variant of Billy Gunn with his mesh asscheek attire & Nicole Bass' head.

The problem is clearly Walmart and NOT Mattel. Target does not have this issue with their exclusives. They have very long pre-order windows, plus all Target exclusives are easily available both in stores and online at essentially all times.
The problem is Walmart.

Mattel (just like everyone else) knows Walmart is a problem. They knew it when they gave them these exclusives, so I won't let them off the hook here.

These additional figures wouldn't have existed (yet) if not for the additional line ordered by Walmart. These will show up eventually, either at an overstock store or somewhere down the line as a remake or Greatest Hits.

That’s a lot of warehouse space, which isn’t cheap. It blows my mind What also blows my mind is the “Walmart doesn’t care and Mattel doesn’t care because they already got paid” mentality. Why would neither care? Seems a bit odd that a retailer wants an exclusive, Mattel provides, the product is absolutely nowhere to be found but “they don’t care”

You think the re-sellers don't hit Ollie's and Big Lots? Anyways, we're getting off the subject here. Customers should be able to buy a retail exclusive at the store they were made exclusively for. See Target for an example.

It's the cool thing to do nowadays anyway.

If it bothers you that if I walk into a store and not find anything new and my first thought isn’t “the manufacturer and retailers just don’t care!” And then post it on Wfigs idk what to tell you

Not knowing what to say I mean. And my "mentality" bothered you, not the other way around. Let's keep it straight here. Walmart hands out bonuses to stores that only lose 4 million a year due to theft instead of 6 every year. Maybe exclusive wrestling figure lines that skip the shelves are a tax write-off for them too, who knows?
