Imagine paying 400 bucks (525 Euros for UE collectors) and you buy Stage, Hogan and Rey because the project does not reach at least 7k for a really new figure.
What a bad move, not only for the price even for the choices of tiers.

Just noticed something, the early bird backing bonus is ONLY good (based on their wording) if it hits 5k backers between the opening of campaign and April 7th… So no guarantee on that early bird bonus even… I get what they’re trying to do but dang, that’s rough. I’ll get 2 or 3 and hope it fully funds. Thats a good thing tho. It doesn’t discourage people from coming in late. You’ll get Hogan regardless if you back day 1 or the last day as long as it funds early. Early backing bonus is only for those who back during the early stages. Like Macho man. Those who back after the early backer deadline won’t get hogan. |

So... First off, this is something I've wanted for a very long time. The stage is impressive and looks fantastic. You could move the lights and everything. I knew Mattel was going to come out with extra things we didn't need to get this thing done. The choices are imo terrible. I get that Hogan, Rey and Warrior are hot sellers, but this is catering to a certain demographic of collectors. Mattel did say this was the way to get characters who wouldn't do well at retail. Why do we need another yellow and red Hogan? I don't care for Warrior and I love Rey, but that attire is not really iconic or eye grabbing imo. With the choices they went with they should of went with.
-Starrcade '97 Hogan
-Red/Yellow Rey
-Camo Warrior
-Jeans DDP
Now there's other things that are kind of wonky. Steiner's singlet looks weird, it should be U shaped and his trunks aren't even molded, but painted on. DDP should of been in jeans, but they'll eventually release one. Rey's hands still look huge. Man, Mattel should of chose better characters. Black singlet WCW Bret, '98 singles Booker in black with yellow flames, Billy Kidman, '97 Nash, '98 Hall, Eric Bischoff, Syxx, Eddie Guerrero, Roddy Piper, Mr.Perfect, Psycho Sid. There's just better selections out there that might not get the UE treatment. That being said I think after taxes and shipping it might be like $500, which is super steep. I want to get this badly, so I'll have to figure out a way to get it. The problem is not all these figures are guaranteed. Idk who made the choices for the figured though.

I was expecting to be good with the stage but sold by the figure. Instead I’m blown away by the stage but put off by the figure selection.
I do not understand how you do a WCW Nitro era crowd fund and have zero nWo representation. I understand they want to save the home run figures for the main lines to improve availability (and their revenue) but I’m positive we could have gotten something.
It’s such a shame because the stage is so wonderfully done. But the figure selection is very disappointing.
I didn’t want to be negative about this, I really didn’t. I was so excited for all the possibilities. But I’m left disappointed and now strongly considering passing as opposed to yesterday when I assumed it was a no brainer purchase for me.

Steiner is great
DDP is cool but wish it was in jeans
Not at all excited for the other three figures
I’m very torn on this. Guess I’ve got a week or so to decide before the early bird expires
But honestly I feel kinda deflated

What if a wcw ring is coming with a Booker t or a Nash or hall ? Like with the attitude ring with Kane Than put that Rey in with the ring and swap it with booker. I don't care for Rey, and a booker ultimate instead would sell me faster. |

I’ll be cancelling if Hogan isn’t included I don’t think there’s any doubt that it gets funded early. If it doesn’t then probably not likely to get funded at all. |

I don’t think $400 is a terrible price IF all five figures were 100% included. But if the early bird doesn’t hit its deadline and the last couple tiers don’t hit - then it isn’t worth that price. Agreed. |

Still need Lashley as well since the articulation makes it possible to do the hurt lock. |

Honestly love the stage, but the figures are really disappointing,
No Booker
No hall and Nash
Thought we would have got a curve ball with a buff bagwell or something like that.

I just don’t get it The new gen arena only got backed because they chose a highly detailed, iconic attire that we wouldn’t have otherwise ever got. They followed it up with a plain yellow trunks Hulk I can buy on Amazon for $30 right now with the sole difference being a different facial expression. Hogan is coming with two soft goods shirts, two bandas, wristbands, and the WCW belt I know. My point still stands. |

Well, the figure choices aren't my favorite and I have to say I'm still on the fence.
The real prize here is the arena. It truly is a thing of beauty. I highly doubt another Nitro stage like this will ever get made again, but is it worth the cost?
The number of figures along with the choices of Superstars sold me on the last crowdfund as value-wise, it helped bring the cost down. Personally, Diesel was a bit bland, and I already had E16 Diesel and didn't see a need for another one but I backed it anyway because Doink and Macho sold me. All in all, the total package was justified at $250 USD/$340 CAD.
This time around, when looking at the figures that are included, they just don't have the same hype or wow factor that I felt with the New Gen offerings. Hogan is basically the Amazon Fan Takeover, DDP isn't even the jeans version that so many of us have been clamoring for, Rey is so far off most collector's radars as he's been shoved down our throats since he came back, Warrior is cool but might be out of reach, and Scott Steiners attire choice is bland. My first reaction when seeing Scotty's first figure wasn't of excitement surprisingly, but of disappointment.
When evaluating the total package for myself, its gonna be hard justifying $400 USD/$625 CAD for this thing given what I mention above. Looking at what I truly want based on what was announced, the Warrior and Steiner figures might not even be included, and breaking it down cost-wise for what we're guaranteed to get doesn't make financial sense for me.
If something gets surprise announced later like they did with Macho, I might be swayed, but as of right now I'm not sold on it.

Imagine backing it and it doesn't reach the tiers holding onto a very limited item and cashing out later when people want a wcw stage.
I mainly want the ddp and Steiner what if they are re tooling the belts

i wasnt around for wcw but would have loved a halloween havoc ue of rey & eddie. the stage is awesome, i think they screwed up big time with the tiers. for people backing you’re guaranteed only 2 figures (hogan/rey) if it funds at 5k. with the price and the more desirable figures being at 7k will that be enough for most people to lock in at 400+ just for a guaranteed rey and by god worst choice of a hogan. idc what anyone says its the same figure as any other figure

I was banging on about it being a 2-in-1, and to be honest, I still think it should have been. A WCW Product, 20 years after the promotion died off, seems like it will have a limited fan base in general. How many people were watching WCW back then, that 20 years later will want to spend megabucks on a titantron set up? A 2-in-1 would have drawn in the Raw Is War fans that just went out and bought the ring/Kane combo in anticipation of the crowdfund being Attitude Era themed. The very common figures (Rey, Warrior, Hogan and DDP are already readily available) being tacked on doesn't really do a whole lot here. I get that you want a big name to anchor it (warrior would have been a good early bird, but the figure should be wearing the duster in the pics to help sell it) and then you should have had more obscure wrestler/outfit choices that may not sell too well at retail (WCW Champion Booker T or Bischoff with the beard/stubble for example). DDP in jeans seems really sought after, so even including soft-goods jeans on this DDP figure would have been a wise idea, surely?). If they struggled with getting the figures right, an extra tier would have been good, if it was a little platform with an announce desk on it. I was never a big WCW fan, so I wouldn't be backing this anyway, but I will compliment their efforts on the stage itself. It's genuinely amazing looking. The detail, the lights, the effort that went into that is incredible. My wet dream would be the same level of work going into a 2003 Titantron. I'd back that in a heartbeat. I hope they sort the electronic issues from the last stage (apparently it turned itself off after 30seconds or so). This should be able to be left with it's lights turned on permanently, and I presume it's plug-in and not battery operated. I won't be involved, especially not at the international prices they want to charge, but I wish them the absolute best with it and I hope, for the sake of those who do back, that it reaches all the tiers and they might, hopefully, chuck an extra or two in again (I believe Macho was a late announcement last time as the crowdfund was struggling?) to garner interest in it. My exact thoughts. I think a RA entrance stage or RAW IS WAR would have been a home run. Its just a matter of opinion and what you grew up on really. I, for i stance, have zero intrest in an RA entrance. But it was when i stopped watching for the first time. |

I hope mattel listens and swaps the figs around. Make Steiner the early bird and move Hogan to the 11k tier.
Better yet replace it entirely with a Macho repaint.
