As a big wcw fan I love it and will be an early backer....I don't see this hitting all the tiers though. If we get to 5k I think we'll be lucky. I'd expect to see some cancelations as well if it's not close by the early deadline.

So 5 UEs which are around 38 each so the stage gobbles up around 230 or so. Or if you're in Canada like many of us here, each UE is $49.99 retail and depending on your Province that could get as high as $288 CAD. For me personally, being in British Columbia, it works out to about $280 just for the value of the figures (assuming all 5 were backed). That leaves the stage alone at about $335 (based on BC taxes) and that's insane. That's as much as I paid for the entire first crowdfund for everything after conversion and taxes. |

Just noticed something, the early bird backing bonus is ONLY good (based on their wording) if it hits 5k backers between the opening of campaign and April 7th… So no guarantee on that early bird bonus even… I get what they’re trying to do but dang, that’s rough. I’ll get 2 or 3 and hope it fully funds. april 7th 2024. a whole year of the campaign being up. if it hits 5k atleast people will get a hogan and rey |

What does this thing need to reach to fund cuz Rey unlocks at 5K. So 3K? rey is the base figure at 5k which funds the campaign. hogan is the “early bonus” which gets unlocked alongside the campaign at 5k if done by april 2024 |

I’lll get ddp and Steiner. Second hand if these get backed. Lol knowing what people are gonna charge on the second hand market for those two figures alone you're probably paying close to half the cost of the entire thing anyway. Odd logic. |

Man… reading everyone’s initial reaction on here and other online platforms the overall reaction seems to be more negative and people just being deflated over the announcement as a whole..
With that behind said - I really hope we get that Steiner. I guess time will tell.

Replace Rey or Warrior with WCW ropes, turnbuckles and ringskirts. Should have been the move. Either of those figures feels unnecessary IMO
But I also do understand the need/idea to go figure-heavy on this. It's still value as long as they are loaded with good accessories.
its just hard to have this expensive of a stage/setup and no ring to go with it. since we already bought a ring last year, being able to convert our existing ring to a WCW one would sell WAY more of these

I never hear anyone dying to have that Rey. And when I think of Nitro he's not the first to come to mind by a long shot. I know they want to keep heavy hitters like the chain metal big poppa pump, nwo bischoff, denim scott hall as future releases. But rey as the main attraction here is silly. I know the stage is the star of the show but figures are important and they needed someone more main event level. They're beholden to who they have access to obviously, but I agree. Choosing Rey over Bischoff was an odd choice. This is one of the reasons I'm worried as a wrestling collector. Mattels hands are tied and they can only make a small handful of new legends/alumni each year and we're seeing so many repeat figures it's boring. You can argue that (insert wrestler here) has many iconic looks, but unless you're a hardcore fan of that particular person, that marketing tactic is pretty weak. |

Not really, especially if you’re based outside of the US. A set you don’t want with some other figures you don’t want for £600 vs two figures you do want for £160 (assuming they go for similar to what Doink & Diesel do) - no brainer. Far from illogical. |

Not a chance this gets close to 5k. It's cool but doesn't have the appeal that the WWF Arena did, and that was a slow burner as it was. Unless I've missed plans to release it separately, it sorely needs a WCW ring to make sense.

CONFUSION!!!
It says the early bird cut off is April 2024, then says we have until May 5th 2023 to get the project funded…. So which date was the screw up? Assuming the early bird one they meant April whatever day 2023, and not 2024?
