Do you think we could get UE battle pack exclusives.
I feel like it's just leaving money on the table
Hbk v Hart Wm 12 or SS 97 RVD v Cena 06 ONS Edge V Orton WM 36 Triple H v Hbk rr 04 or wm xx Undertaker v Hbk wm 25 or 26 Angle v Guerrero wm xx Lesnar v Goldberg wm xx or wm 35 McIntyre v Lesnar wm 36 Batista v hhh wm 21 King Booker v Batista ss 06 Mysterio v Angle wm 22 Lashley v Umaga wm 23 Booker t v triple h wm 19 Million dollar man v randy Savage wm 4 Sycho sid v Undertaker wm 13
Obviously I left out Rock and Austin as they have many ue and Austin didn't change his look. Plus this is only a partial list.
Others that couldn't be involved
Such as Jericho, show, Punk, del Rio,

I feel like this topic gets brought up quite a bit. Yeah there are plenty of combinations for two packs that would be cool but seeing as we are only getting the Coliseum line and the Ringside tag line, both of which will probably only see a couple of releases a year, I think any of the Ringside two packs should stick to tag teams only. Save iconic matches for the regular line. For instance you could do Wrestlemania 12 HBK and Wrestlemania 12 Bret in say Ultimate series 20 or something.

As far as an ongoing line, I don't think we will see this anytime soon.
Retail doesn't seem to be interested in the price tag for 2 Ultimates. Target passed on the idea of Bret/Bulldog. I don't see Walmart selling a premium line. Ringside is doing the tag teams - I don't see them picking up a second line right now. Amazon is a possibility, but they couldnt handle the distro for a couple single UE a year. Don't see them skipping to 2 packs right now or caring enough for a permanent line.
Mattel Creations has the Collesium so maybe once that is done (which probably has planned line ups for multiple years). I think they are more likely to shift to a Hasbro inspired UE line next though.
Maybe we'll see a couple one offs here and there, but I don't think we'll see a dedicated line anytime soon. I think they would increase the UE to 4 single releases before we see two pack battle packs.

I think if we do the first will be the Steiner Brothers. Others I would personally love to see would be… Triple H vs Cactus Jack RR’00 Piper vs Hogan Steamboat vs Savage WMIII Piper vs Orndorff (or as a WrestleMania tag team to go with the SDCC Hogan/Mr T)

In one of my threads we discussed the potential awesomeness of a Starrcade 40th Anniversary set - Ric Flair vs. Harley Race..... a two-pack of Ultimates to commemorate Starrcade's 40th. Flair with the epic robe & classic NWA Harley..... I'd be all in for that.
As far as actual tag teams - give me Harlem Heat UE double-pack..... and if they ever get the rights, Legion of Doom! But I agree with the post above - if we see a tag team soon in Ultimate form, it'll be the Steiner Bros.....

I would love for them to remake the In Your House DX Ringside 2-pack as Ultimates.
But all of this is possible. We have the Coliseum Collection and now we’re getting the Usos. So as long the talent is signed, all of this is likely on the table. I’m guessing we will get the Steiners, and I’m sure LOD would get that treatment if they signed back. But any number of combos make sense. Taker/Mankind, Shawn/Bret, Shawn/Razor, Bret/Austin, Hogan/Savage, the list could go on-and-on of figures I think people would buy or rebuy to upgrade. These are just expensive as a set. So I don’t expect a bunch per year.

I think UE 2-packs are going to be scarcesly released just because of the pricepoint. I assume those Uso's are going to be over $60. Even if they are the top standard of wrestling figures now, 2 figures and some accessories for maybe $70 before shipping is a lot. Sure, lots of people are happy to spend it, but its still a lot of money for what you're getting.
I'd love a Rey/Eddie 2-pack from Halloween Havoc.
Your list will take Mattel about 45 years to get through.

I could see Mattel introducing rivals into the tag team line. There are so few tag teams would get a UE figure, especially legends since many of the top-tier teams are not signed. I wouldn't mind seeing some of these rivals:
Andre vs. Studd - WM1 (this could get released in the coliseum collection line) Andre vs. Hogan - WM3 (probably not possible with Andre getting his release in UE17) Savage vs. Steamboat - WM3 Savage vs. DiBiase - WM4 Jake vs. Rude - WM4 Brutus vs. Honky Tonk - WM4 Bam Bam vs. One Mang Gang (could be a possible coliseum collection release if Gang were signed) Savage vs. Hogan - WM5 Jake vs. DiBiase - WM6 Hogan vs. Slaughter - WM7 Bret vs. Piper - WM8 Savage vs. Flair - WM8 Jake vs. Taker - WM8 Bret vs. Yoko - WM9 Shawn vs. Razor - WM10 Bam Bam vs. LT - WM11 Bret vs. Shawn - WM12 Warrior vs. Hunter - WM12 (they already have the duster, why not) Bret vs. Austin - WM13 Austin vs. HBK - WM14 Garvin vs. Valentine - RR90 (never going to happen, but I'd buy it if it did) Warrior vs. Sarge - RR91 (or Savage since he interfered in that match) Savage vs. Brutus - SSL89 Hogan vs. Zeus - SSL89 Perfect vs. Tornado - SSL90 Savage vs. Dusty - SSL90 Hogan vs. Earthquake - SSL90 Warrior vs. Rude - SSL90 Bret vs. Perfect - SSL91 DiBiase vs. Virgil - SSL91 Bossman vs. Mountie - SSL91 (never going to happen) Savage vs. Warrior - SSL92 Bret vs. Bulldog - SSL92 Luger vs. Yokozuna - SSL93 Razor vs. Diesel - SSL94 Bret vs. Shawn - SSE92 Bret vs. Diesel - SSE95 Bret vs. Shawn - SSE97 Macho King vs. Ultimate Warrior from WM7 would have been my top choice, but we already have Warrior, so that seems unlikely.

I don’t see it happening other maybe a one off exclusive every now and then. If they wanna do a pairing of teams or rivals they’ll just put em in the same series like Hogan and T.

With the Coliseum collection, mass retail & store exclusives I don't think there's room for another ultimate sub line unless RSC starts taking these on ala the Mega Powers.

I agree- often, at least 1 member of a tag team would be much less likely to get a single release, whereas the participants in epic singles matches are more likely to have figures (i.e. Jim Neidhart isn't a likely choice for an Ultimate Edition figure outside of a 2-pack). So, I think keeping the exclusive 2-packs to tag teams would give us more figures that we might not get otherwise. Granted, I open almost all of the figures that I buy, so having the participants of great matches packaged together Vs. apart wouldn't impact whether or not I'd buy them. Also, as others have said, the price point for Ultimate Edition 2-packs just makes it unlikely for them to be general release items.

The UE tag line is a great chance to get some guys who probably wouldn't get a UE otherwise. Like, Rick Steiner, Anvil, those are guys who could absolutely show up here that wouldn't as mass retail UEs. Even the Usos, who are now big enough for Top Picks, might not.

That giant list and Piper only makes it once?! And it’s not vs Hogan?!! Well, I figured since we already got Hogan and Mr. T from WM1 that Piper and Orndorff would be coming in a future Ultimate Edition wave. So that is why WM1 is not on the list. We already got an elite set of WM2 with him and Mr. T, so I don't think that is possible. I don't think they will do a Piper/Snuka set from the coconut incident. I don't think Mattel would do WM6... what with Bad News not signed... I don't see them doing a Mountie figure, so RR92 is out. Not a lot of big match options. Plus, I had to make room for all of Savage's sparkly neon cowboy hats... On a series note, I wouldn't be opposed to a Piper/Rude set, maybe Piper in those hideous red shorts he wore for a short time, and Rude in the blue grim reaper tights. EDIT: I would definitely take a Piper/Rude set from Survivor Series 1989, but I don't think that is doable. Rude wore all of the match participants faces on his tights, since Snuka and the Rougeau Brothers aren't sign, his tights wouldn't be right. I also would take a Piper/Flair set from 1992 when they wrestled in a cage match, Flair with the WWF title and Piper with the IC title. I'm not sure what shirt he wore at the event, but we haven't gotten this one:

Oversaturation is the easiest way to kill interest in the Ultimate line. There's a solid mix right now, with Target Legends, CC, the main line, and some limited RSC/Mattel Creations exclusives. They're much better off doing a more limited selection of figures, but giving them the time and budget for a high end execution.
