Honestly, I don't think anyone on this board had anything to do with sinking the Nitro Crowdfund...... Equally not one single person here had any sort of power to save it; Thousands of fans spoke with their wallets, and not enough fans wanted to pay for it. It really is that simple. Only people that could have saved it work for Mattel, and they can autopsy this thing for years to figure out where they went wrong.... at the end of the day, it's not our problem. It's Mattel's failure, and they won't sell a single Nitro set since they couldn't appeal to 5000 people. So being that none of our opinions really mattered here and the project is a failure..... I again wonder what the "fun" or reason is for "sh*t-posting" about it literally hundreds of times, all day every day? I just don't get it. It's just juvenile and quite honestly - the frequent ridiculous posts about it come off as a plea for attention. Since I was indirectly quoted... ...I similarly wonder what the "fun" is in watching poker games on television. My dad did that for years, and I never got it. He had a poker table in his basement but never played near the number of games he'd spend the day watching on TV. I'd often roll my eyes over it, but I didn't get all bent out of shape about it because nobody sat me down and forced me to watch it - just like nobody makes anyone pay any credence to people like me who like to come here and goof off. My job is a drag, so I come here in between sprints to amuse myself. Not nearly the sob story that I've heard from others about how this is all they've got so we need to respect the WCW stage out of fairness to them, but if anyone's that bent out of shape over what I do to get myself to 5 o'clock, there's the method to the madness. Thanks for the attention

Some people actually wanted to have discussions about this and had to sift through your nonsense. No real contribution, nothing constructive to add to the conversation. A plea for attention.

What are we funding? There’s nothing about a 5 pack of figures that’s too high risk and too expensive that they need the consumer to fund it themselves before moving forward with production. They can just make it and sell it on Mattel Creations or do an open preorder. And why release a 5-pack when there are a LOT of avenues for them to release figures individually right now. Between main lines, store exclusives, and Mattel Creations, they already have a ton of slots for figures. And a decade into the line, there are only so many super-desirable figures left (or even remakes, for that matter). The entire point of crowd funded projects is to explore bigger, more expensive collector-oriented pieces that wouldn't fit at existing retailers. I don't get why people keep trying to force a square peg into a round hole to scale these projects to their personal collecting interests or budget. Why would I want to pay around $350 shipped for "crowd funded" figures when those same figures could easily slot into other lines at regular retail cost? The thing is, a lot of people like large/themed/boxsets of figures - and something like 5 UE figures in a large box for $200-$250 would NEVER be offered at retail. And as proven with the MC exclusive figures - and the discussions over the New Gen and Nitro Stage - the interest is definitely there for figures and figure sets... the New Gen set was probably funded because of the Macho figure and desire to get Doink. Likewise, there seemed to be far more talk and interest over the Nitro figures, than the actual stage itself. With the failure of the Nitro stage - and probable failure of a Raw stage (which is even bigger and more expensive), the market just isn't there for these types of things. So why not try a figure set? Personally, I think something like an UE NWO figure set, offered for around $200-$250 would have done much better than the Nitro stage: exclusive/tanned Hollywood Hogan, Nash in all-red, Hall, Syxx, and exclusive Eric Bischoff (instead of with the Nitro ring). All in a sexy NWO box (maybe a window-flap box?) - with further figures available/added at various tiers.

Or be forced to buy 5 figures when you only want a portion of what’s being offered. Imagine if they bundled the crowdfund figs into a Best of WCW set the amount of complaints we’d hear.I actually think it would do pretty well(!). Sure, there'd be complaints that they're not available individually - but $200-$250 is a far more reasonable and affordable price. Not to mention, a lot of people were either backing a $400 item - or hoping to back it - primarily for the figures offered... I can't see many Warrior collectors turning a set like this down, even if they had little to no interest in the other figures. Likewise, if you're only interested in, say 3 of the 5 figures, you'd probably back the set to get them and just sell (or keep) the other 2 figures.

Multi-packs have consistently failed as Elites, and while the CC figures seem to be doing well enough, it's not like they've been selling out in record time.

Any word on when everyone should expect their money refunded? Unless you did the finance option you shouldn’t have been charged. Any temporary hold should fall off within a couple business days. If you financed it through shop pay then you can check the status on their site shop.app

I dropped a few hundred at a toy show on Sunday, so I’m over my toy budget at the moment. I only went because the stage crowdfunding failed.
