I 100% believe this won't even reach DDP by 06 May. Bro it would be a miracle of it hits Rey by May 6th

I 100% believe this won't even reach DDP by 06 May. I'd be shocked if it made it to the 5k to fund it unless they added several incentives. This crowdfund will buckle and fold just like WCW did (and Shane McMahon's legs)

Here's what I would have done 5k: Hogan, Rey, the stage and Goldberg reissue. 7k: ric Flair and DDP. 9k: Stiner 11k Booker T Early bird: Warrior. Or flip Warrior and make the Early bird Street gear Goldberg. Hell open a 12k and put another Macho Man lol. all of this would’ve been more than $400

Can anyone honestly give me a legit reason that Mattel couldn’t allow monthly payments on this? They’re a billion dollar company so it wouldn’t be an issue for them to come up with the 4 million needed to fund this. Why couldn’t they offer this for $50 down and $30 a month until you’ve reached the $400? That way if someone balks after the first month Mattel just got a free $80 from them. I’ve backed 2 of these already and I’m just bummed that this is probably gonna fail. I think if they would allow monthly payments we would already have 11k backers. If Mattel gets all the money now or a year from now what difference does it make….in the end they will have more backers which means more money for them. Because if 5k people backed this and 5k people did the payment plan, and 2.5k cancel, then they'll lose tons of money and would be considered a total flop. And they would either still have to make it or, cancel midway in production process losing money either way. They would get to keep the money that the 2.5k payed into it….Then when Mattel got those 2.5k stages they could sell them on Mattel Creations….More ppl would buy them knowing Mattel had them in stock and it wouldn’t take a year to get.

It's not at an enjoyable level crowdfund price. It's at a level this time that you are thinking "ughh if I get one or two beers, that's my savings blown for this crowdfund" it's really too much for a crowdfund. £350 is more justifiable for me.

What a flop though. They need to build the wcw brand before doing something like this. No ultimate sting/giant/hall/nash/bischoff no ring, nothing. Silly move at this stage to do this. The world isn't ready for it.

Anyone in the UK getting a payment plan option at all? I just want to confirm it's not just me... I've just taken it up to the Payment page and can't see any payment plan options. The card details are there to be filled-in but can't see anything about selecting anything other than making the full payment once I press the 'Complete Order' button (which I didn't press obviously). Where are Americans seeing payment plans? Is it the payment page or somewhere earlier? I couldn't see anything like that anywhere.

at this rate just cut the figures out since we aint gonna hit 7k plus and offer just the stage for 200 you're completely misunderstanding how this works... Mattel has told you the Stage + Rey =$400...The other figures are free if we reach certain goals. Nothing is free. That's just the way it's marketed. The more units sold, the less per unit cost it will take to produce it and therefore they have additional funds to produce an additional figure.

Okay, and if they cancelled the first month? They gained $125,000, but lost $875,000. So in the end, Mattel didn't want to deal with variables.

I wish they could have gotten this thing on Raw for a quick segment with the rating last Monday got. Even something like playing a small part of the ad of it when Rey came out would've sufficed.

It's not like $400 is Stage + Rey + Hogan + DDP + BPP + Warrior and if we don't get 11k they start taking stuff away... A lot of people are making the mistake of including 4 other figures as part of the $400 value, and that's not the case

Theres no way something of that size and weight would ship in the US for $30 let alone to the other side of the world. I also plugged in an address in Europe I would have it shipped to and it came up to roughly $35. Thats what ringside takes for 2 figures alone

Should’ve included Sabu and Alex Wright from the second Nitro, would’ve sold out instantly

I’m sure the international folks would definitely buy most your stock as they are getting charged far more than they should is what most have claimed Lol. What do you think would ringside charge for shipping?! Ringside has the most expensive shipping costs for international customers i know. And custom would be added too. And ringside wouldnt sell it for the price they bought. So absolutly BS

half the people who "backed" the New Gen arena bought 2+ because it was only $250, and they knew down the road they would be able to re-sell all the pieces for more than what they paid (at least)
hell, some businesses and even regular collectors backed 10+ that was a pretty good chunk of the business, I'd be willing to bet
You're not getting that crowd with this piece, because the figure guarantees are too high....and everyone knows the re-sale value won't be there in the future or its not as easy of an investment. Nobody is paying $100+ for this Ultimate Rey Mysterio in 3 years.

But they didn’t lose $875,000…..They’ll get that back when they sell them in the future. Your argument is flawed because very few if any ppl would cancel this if it’s only $30 a month…..And after that first month went by and the months after that the consumer would have already invested so much that they wouldn’t even think of backing out and losing all they have invested.

Going forward I would remove the figures and just focus on stages/rings/etc with each tier being something that goes with whatever the set is. That way you can focus on a smaller price point, a smaller goal, you don’t have to rely on people that only want figures and don’t have need/room for sets, and you get out big items stores don’t want to carry. Then focus on periodic exclusive figure releases every couple of months for those that only want need Ultimates.
