Well hopefully Ringside buys in on alot of these. I’m sure the international folks would definitely buy most your stock as they are getting charged far more than they should is what most have claimed I wouldn't bank on this happening. I had no involvement in us carrying the last crowdfund and it was news to me when it came to fruition - it was also only a few pieces. It's possible but if you're looking to get it guaranteed the crowdfund is probably the best way. come on tom back 3000 of these so we can hit 5k today

1818 backers as of 3:09 pm EST. It’s a done deal. No way this gets backed. This has to be pretty embarrassing that the number of backers are abysmal. It has until May 6 to get backed. All this means at the moment is we probably don’t get Hogan. I don’t see enough people having an interest in the stage without all of the figures being included.

at this rate just cut the figures out since we aint gonna hit 7k plus and offer just the stage for 200 I’d rather the figures be a regular release. This way they’d be forced to add more accesories and actually put effort in the designs. That's would be best. The stage and a gotta have figure like bishcoff or HH macho and maybe the flame mats around the ring

I can see it still happening because the figure we loose is a figure that even though it has a new head sculpt and a WCW face plate on the title is still a figure that has had at least 5 UE releases already. So I can still see people backing it during the month for the remaining three figures in the tiers. It might not hit Warrior’s tier but I can see it hitting Steiners.

all we are really going to learn is that $400 is a bridge too far for a crowdfund. And that most wrestling figure collectors don't have arena setups at a large scale. Which we already knew both of these things. Hopefully Mattel's takeaway is that $250 is the max for a crowdfund item. For $400 u damn sure should've been giving ppl the Nitro ring, commentary setup Mongo and Larry Z commentators and a WCW referee. An entrance stage and 4 figures...of which ppl kinda only want one of them. And the one they want is missing almost all the logos on his gear. That isn't gonna cut it at 400+ bucks I think it’s that $400 is a bridge too far for the figures That’s the main thing talked about - I don’t think the want is there for huge sets by the majority. Far more are interested in just figures Some figures go on the secondary market for a couple of hundred + so people are willing to spend but only on something that they really want Crowdfunding the way we've come to know it over the past four years or so is really tough egg to crack for a market like this. Star Wars collectors are built different, and there's close to fifty years worth of evidence to back that up and proof of concept that shows what it is they want. An unreasonably massive Sail Barge is no big thing to that built in demographic that spans generations. Wrestling playsets beyond the standard ring are still relatively young concepts, and the target demographic that was going after them at their peak, while reasonably the target demo for a project like this, is much smaller and much less proven in concept than decades upon decades of adult Star Wars collectors buying anything Star Wars (and even HasLab missed the mark on one of those ones).

at this rate just cut the figures out since we aint gonna hit 7k plus and offer just the stage for 200 But the stage itself is valued at $400 or $370 taking out the cost of Rey. The figures are a bonus - the only figure valued in the price is Rey thats what they want you to think that your getting free bonus figures they are not gonna take the loss on 5 ultimates the retail value on that is 200 bucks for the figures alone last year the issue is they got greedy this year in what world did they think at a $400 dollar price that this would have any chance at 11k backers when last year they roughly did 9k at a $250 dollar price

That’s the thing with this being more expensive if a company, let’s hypothetically say RSC did buy say 5 of these 1. That’s $2k 2. Once received they then need to store them and they are not small 3, they’d then need to resell and everything that goes into it / listing, fulfilment if the order etc which obviously costs in manpower + time 4. They’d need to sell at a cost which covers initial investment, all their associated costs as per above snd still make a profit. So they’d have to hope 5 people are willing to pay what, let’s say $550/$600? It’s a much bigger risk than the new gen which I think a few retailers bought a few of Obviously they could piece the set out but then that’s even more time listing and fulfilment etc

Anyone not backing to due to size, did u see the slimmed down version of the stage? Still a little big but would help fit on some shelfs

Anyone in the UK getting a payment plan option at all? I just want to confirm it's not just me...

Still a little big but would help fit on some shelfs I did, and it's definitely a nice feature if your space constraints are tight but not necessarily maxed out, but something like that on one of my shelves, even in the slimmed down setup, just cuts down on how many figures I can get on display. The stage is seriously cool AF (if nothing else, Nitro's entrance was way cooler than Raw's prior to the WCW branding overhaul), but at the end of the day, I collect figures. Any accessory display I've bought since getting back in just winds up downstairs in storage somewhere or handed off to my kid. That's fine for a $20 ring I bought on a whim, but something like this? That's a lot of dough for something he'll just break.

Can anyone honestly give me a legit reason that Mattel couldn’t allow monthly payments on this? They’re a billion dollar company so it wouldn’t be an issue for them to come up with the 4 million needed to fund this.
Why couldn’t they offer this for $50 down and $30 a month until you’ve reached the $400? That way if someone balks after the first month Mattel just got a free $80 from them.
I’ve backed 2 of these already and I’m just bummed that this is probably gonna fail. I think if they would allow monthly payments we would already have 11k backers.
If Mattel gets all the money now or a year from now what difference does it make….in the end they will have more backers which means more money for them.

A lot of people who Bought the new gen also bought extras. Due to cost and size it was very manageable. For these it’s just not easily obtainable to back 3 or 4 as easily

Because if 5k people backed this and 5k people did the payment plan, and 2.5k cancel, then they'll lose tons of money and would be considered a total flop. And they would either still have to make it or, cancel midway in production process losing money either way.

Here's what I would have done
5k: Hogan, Rey, the stage and Goldberg reissue.
7k: ric Flair and DDP.
9k: Stiner
11k Booker T
Early bird: Warrior.
Or flip Warrior and make the Early bird Street gear Goldberg.
Hell open a 12k and put another Macho Man lol.

at this rate just cut the figures out since we aint gonna hit 7k plus and offer just the stage for 200 you're completely misunderstanding how this works... Mattel has told you the Stage + Rey =$400...The other figures are free if we reach certain goals.

Anyone not backing to due to size, did u see the slimmed down version of the stage? Still a little big but would help fit on some shelfs and where does the other pieces of it go? Do they magically vanish until you decide to use them? Or do they take up a ton of space in storage...
