Maybe they should have put that Eric Bischoff figure (that's coming with the ring) here instead of Rey... it certainly would have been more of an incentive. And put Rey - or DDP - with the ring... 🤷‍♂️ I'd have put the denim/debut Scott Hall here too, exclusive to the stage. Makes a whole lotta sense. Most people can go without a street clothes hall in their collection and that bischoff could be released again down the road or folks could just get the recent Walmart one.

I’m hoping since it’s looking like Hogan is unlikely that people will back this thing so we don’t lose anymore figures. Especially the DDP and Steiner. Since the hogan is out I wonder if they’ll bump the Ddp up to that slot and then Steiner to 7000 I agree that sounds like a great idea but doubt they will do it.

I had a thought at dinner.
If this fails, this might not just be the end of the crowdfund for the WWE line, Bill, Steve, or both may be gone.
It’s hard to imagine a company losing out on $4.4 Million in potential sales plus whatever they are out on the prototypes and still have the people who led it in those jobs.
Just a random thought. I hope it doesn’t come to that but…..

The figure itself was runner-up to the WM9 Fan Takeover UE Hogan (...further proof that including it here as an incentive wasn't really the wisest move...).

Next year the same people will be complaining when the crowd fund is a Smackdown ring... "Where is the stage!?"

They are making PLENTY over basics, elites and ultimates. The prototypes probably costed them next to nothing.

Beyond the time spent designing it and the promotion there’s not much they’ve actually spent money on

This reminds so much of the HasLab Ghost Rider. It plateaued at a pretty early point and Hasbro just didn’t bother with anymore promotion. I really thought we’d be at 3K. Late last year, Mattel got the huge MOTU Eternia funded. That was a $550 item and it got 9,291 backers. There was only one figure, no LED functionality and a huge size. I don’t know if it had similar international issues, but it shows it can be done. Yes it had. I paid 960 Euro for it.

Bill & Steve won't be at risk of losing their jobs, the Nitro stage was a venture that may not have delivered the results they (personally and as a company) may have hoped, but what Bill and Steve have done with the WWE figure line to this point, will have built up enough good will that they won't be going anywhere. And rightfully so. Biggest downside I see amongst all this, is the reserved and cautious approach Mattel may look to take toward all bar the absolute obvious WCW persona's that have sold well previously. Had this project shot the lights out, it may have convinced/persuaded Mattel to try and branch out into some deeper cut names that took part in the Monday Night Wars.

I didn’t even know there was a third Ghost Rider until it was on I think Agents of SHIELD, I was confused, and looked it up.

I hope this shows Mattel to make better choices with the crowdfund figures. DDP and hogan picks still baffle me

I just checked and the shipping to the UK for the New Gen set was $14.95. Now I know this stage is bigger, but why not just charge a flat shipping fee (like last time), then the customer just pays the 20% customs charge when it comes into the country (again, like last time)? Why do they insist on including all these hidden charges? 🤷‍♂️

For those who have backed already, would you be content with just Rey and the stage?

Im not sure some people understand that the Stage is the goal. Almost at 2000 with 28 days left.
The Figures are just extras.
