I hope Steve doesn’t let this thing die a slow, long and painful death. I don’t want to watch it suffer for the next thirty days or so. Just pull the plug now. Paging Dr. Kevorkian to the Nitro Stage.

this project, even at a higher price point, reached 2k backers faster than new gen fwiw. im looking at the old thread and it took about ~2 weeks to hit 2k. edit: ok i forgot the macho had a time-limit in the new gen set. the whole new gen set was fully backed with everything unlocked almost 2 weeks before the whole crowd fund ended. they received 4k purchases on the final day of the macho man figure.
This is largely forgotten. While not on a completely even playing field, the Nitro stage has paced much better than the New Gen set. Lots of worry from those that do want it and doom and gloom for those who oddly want to see it fail. We still have 25 days left. The New Gen set wasn’t $400 and didn’t screw over international customers, like 5 people have backed this in the past 2 days, it needs to be going at around 120 people per day currently, it’s dead in the water People have realised they’re not getting any of the other figures and it’s not worth the price point

The stage isn’t in the wheelhouse of my collection and I’m not sure how I would even display it, but the way some are acting and rooting for it to fail, I may get one just to see it succeed.

Not sure if it has a big impact but I should mention I’m in Australia and got charged right away.
Maybe some international buyers are waiting?

Would be awesome for this stage to have the exact comeback story the the New Gen arena had. I still remember checking everyday on that crowd funder and seeing it moving up very fast towards the end was something very amazing on that day. Nothing like that has happened since hopefully this stage gets to repeat that history!

the stage is definitely getting backed brothers It’s gotta average 120 buyers everyday for it to be backed, yesterday only 2 people backed it, I’m not sure how it’s definitely getting backed

One thing we've learned from this debacle is that...... Hulkamania isn't gonna move merchandise in 2023 or beyond Bullcrap. I'm tired of everybody putting all the blame on Hulk Hogan for this. Why not blame Rey?? Every Hulk Hogan figure has been a top seller regardless if you want to believe it or not. The fact of the matter is everybody wants something for nothing and Mattel did a damn good job to get the price point where it is. For all the talk about how "bad" the economy is I sure do see quite a few hiring signs. If you don't want it or can't afford it, fine but gloating over this thing not being backed makes you a stupid jackass. We are damn lucky to have Steve and Bill, they are ACTUALLY wrestling fans trying their best to give us what we want. I may not agree with all their attire choices, ( we really need 1991 Pyhton Power Hulk Hogan with the red bandana, no tear Hulk Rules Shirt and the Winged Eagle Championship around his waist) but I sure do appreciate everything they do for us.

This is where I’m at. It’s never going to be the complete package I want, so I may as well just accept the project for what it is, have my fun with the stage, and get on with my life.

Honestly, I think they misfired with the figure choices. And some of those figures are coming out anyway in the Monday Night Wars line and others.
Had the set of figures been:
- nWo Bischoff (with alternate commentator gear) - Nash and Hall in debut street clothes - DDP in jeans and taped ribs - Lex Luger in debut street gear - Scott Steiner in iconic chainmail and biker trunks - A FTITL (Mongo? Zbysko? Madusa?)
This thing would’ve blown up big time.
As it stands, DDP and Hogan were too close to previous releases, Mysterio just isn’t a “must have” and that’s 3/5 being “meh” right there.

I love the figures you mentioned but all of those figures are home runs why would Mattel limit them to just a crowdfund? I mean Scott Steiner in the chainmail and biker trunks will sell over 40 thousand alone, why put him in a high price point package where he would only sale 8 or 9 thousand

Similar complaints and fears as this one, but I think the nitro stage is a much better value and has started out better. I think this one is gonna end strong.

I agree and the fact it still has a good amount of time too. Staying positive the whole time is best thing to do for these crowdfunders.

Including Rey as the only guaranteed figure was a baffling choice... a lot of people - particularly hardcore collectors this set is aimed at - are burned-out on Rey figures... there's just been SO many of them recently. And he has 2 other UEs coming out soon too (if you just wanted an UE version). Aside from Steiner (who will no doubt be getting lots of figures anyway), none of the figures had that "Doink appeal" either... a mid-card/gimmick type figure you knew would never get released without the set. Not sure who WCW's version of Doink would be though(?)
