Psicosis la parka juvi blitzkrieg ultimo ciclope all masked guys, masked guys are great sellers I feel like the lack of representation from the Cruiserweights is such a glaring omission in any WCW collection. That division helped give WCW a totally different flavor back in the day. If there could only be three figures made, who would you want? I really wanna see this reach completion I think it'll be a beautiful piece in anyone's collection and the figure photography opportunities are perfect.
My issue is...
1. RAW is WAR was teased and I think everyone wants that. Spending another $400 on that is wild and tbh I would have absolutely backed that Day 1, without knowing what bonuses were with it. Most of us have the Attitude Era RAW ring and backers will have that and a Nitro stage. It doesn't go together. It feels like this was done out of order tbh.
2. Having to get the Nitro ring separate. Listen, the Warrior and Hogan figures are trash. I'm sorry, they are. I would have preferred to just get Steiner, DDP, and Rey and then give us a ring mat and barricade at least. I understand not giving us turnbuckles and ring aprons/canvas to put over our current Ultimate Rings but the Hogan and Warrior are just pointless figures. They aren't interesting looking.
Those are my critiques, not meant to be attacks but my personal feelings on the issues with this campaign. Otherwise, the Nitro stage is PERFECT and the Steiner, DDP, and Rey are great.

Can I ask some of the people who have been saying their order was canceled a question?
Are these getting randomly canceled or are you guys canceling this yourself I am confused, I’m scared if they are randomly being canceled that when I back this it might happen to me and then I won’t have time to re do the order, please shed light

I'd be down for that. I don't get the point of burying WCW, if you're a WWE fanboy, cool. Let us enjoy our figures, we could all coexist. Yeh I totally agree. The Monday Night War is long over, WCW and it's history is now part of WWE history and should be celebrated and enjoyed, without the hate. Really annoys me when people try to shut down any more obscure legends suggestions, stating so definitively that Mattel can't make so-and-so as they're not under a deal, or implying it's laughable that WWE would bother signing anyone who isn't an A-list megastar. Like, the people saying these sort of things - number 1 you don't know exactly who's currently under a deal, number 2 new deals get signed all the time and it often isn't made public knowledge, number 3 it's been confirmed multiple times that Mattel regularly has input and makes suggestions, and number 4 WWE clearly would and does sign more obscure talent to deals or else we'd have never gotten the countless obscure legends/flashback figures we've already seen released. Anyway rant over. So yeh, really hope if the stage succeeds this could help get more deep-dive WCW names signed and made into figure form. |

I don't care if you despised WCW, those two guys given the Ultimate treatment would immediately be some of the coolest looking figures on your shelf.

Whatever happened yesterday with the 3 different jumps of like 200, it’s not looking good now. This has barely moved in 24 hours.
Just think. 1800 non Americans would have easily backed this had they not been overcharging 😬

I’m a wrestling fan so the more choice I have the better. I like wwe (well WWF) most but there’s enough in wrestling for all people to enjoy. I mean mania 9 is my favourite yet it’s routinely thought of as the worst. In TNA pomp I was as excited to be at a TNA event as WWE. I don’t get the ‘rivalry’ but there you go. But it’s also similar to the rivalry about this crowdfund. I’ve not backed for a variety of reasons but I want it made for those who want it. I don’t see why there’s need for a pro v anti this stage. It’s offered, if you want it cool, if you don’t equally cool. Both are perfectly valid and neither is right or wrong, no need for 2 camps. if you think it’s not worth the money your right because only you can decide value for yourself. If you think it is worth the value then again equally cool and right. (Caveat: Value is not the same as the commercially decided profit margins for mattel). |

Setting aside the grand scheme of contractual limitations and availability and all of that, there are a large number of prime Nitro-era characters that could have given me much more thought on this than what was offered. Mortis and Glacier are definitely up there. Two very toyetic, visually interesting characters. That's the stuff that really pops on my shelves. I like color and unique looks. Buff Bagwell, particularly in his post-nWo look (solely just to move on from all the black) would be another one. La Parka, Ultimo Dragon, Wrath. WCW had a ton of colorful characters which may not all hit "legends" stature, but definitely sell more to me as a collector of a physical, visual medium. Obviously there are roadblocks in place, but those are just some of the pipedreams that would've maybe swayed me to think a bit harder about backing this. |
