While offering all the figures would be fantastic for the fans, it's just not feasible... nor how crowd-funding works. The reason the extra figures/tiers are there is to give fans extra because they have more backers... ie. the extra funding is there. 5K plus Rey and Steiner is the maximum they can offer for for 5K backers - if they included all 5 figures at that level, they'd be making a loss - so it wouldn't be worth doing. Basically: the more backers they get, the more funding they get - so the more figures they can make. |

I have a theory that isn’t as crazy as it sounds. Right now Mattel has over 1.3 million dollars that is theirs if this gets funded. I could see Mattel fudging the numbers tomorrow to get ppl excited and get it up to 5k because once this hits 5k I think a lot more ppl will back it and if it gets close to 7k I could see Mattel fudging the numbers even more because if DDP gets added then even more ppl will back it.
Just remember the action figures do not cost Mattel very much money. Rey is basically just a reproduction as is DDP, Warrior and Hogan. The cost is the stage. Why wouldn’t Mattel add a fake 1000 backers if it meant that 1000 real backers would pony up. It’s all theater of the mind….the more figures get unlocked the more backers this will have.
Also Mattel is spending money and calling in favors promoting this like crazy. They don’t want this to fail.

True, but hasbro was slivers away from the rancor haslab at the tail end but went through with its cancelation. I don't know anything about the business side of things, but it would be nice if they did so mattel creations doesn't have its first creations failure and dropping a couple hundred k to keep the success could possibly keep shareholders happy. But like I said, I have no idea on how that all works. |

When this began, we were getting Rey and an essentially re issued hogan. The new Steiner is all new tooling and requires more cost than say a re-issue of an existing mould, ie, hogan. Yet they could quickly move that Steiner into the hogan spot and still be ok with just reaching 5k, even though the cost for creating new moulds/tooling would go up. I’d summits they have the costs already allotted and it just makes good business sense to bring the overhead down. |

When he signed his legends deal, I’m sure they got started right away on the tooling for the figure, I’m assuming they didn’t start just for the Stage. |

The monthly payments include interest (obviously), with a 15% APR. So instead of paying $400 + shipping, you’re actually paying $433 + shipping.

This would have been backed if that were the case! My Marketing Degree for dummies says so!! Am I doing it right? I believe it's going to get funded, whether or not we get DDP that's another story. Yeah, I think there'll be a surge on the last day - enough to get the stage funded, but another 2K on top of that for DDP is a very big ask. Who knows though(?). It'll be fun watching it all unfold... |

Mattel you’ve mishandled this from the jump. Make it right, offer all the figs tomorrow and get this funded! They are already offering all the figures. There just needs to be 11,000 backers to make it happen. |

Putting the issues with the actual production aside, it’s a really nice looking stage and now it’s not getting made and probably nothing else will either. They’re not gonna bother with the Raw stage now. |
