No PayPal pay in 4?! Wtf. there’s no way I can find this sort of money. This is doomed to fail, what are they doing ShopPay offers pay in 4, I literally just paid that way. Can shop pay take the payments from PayPal? Ive never used it before. Only way I can back this is if I use my PayPal money. |

The wording is kinda confusing on the website If it gets to 5K before 4/7 then everyone gets Hogan regardless of when you purchased it. However if it’s not at 5K by 4/7 then Hogan is completely off the table even if it gets funded later. |

However if you’re looking for payment plans a credit card is essentially the same thing, so long as you’re paying the minimum on it and also have a credit card. Good luck! Maybe I’m being pessimistic given how early it is but this thing really fell off 30 minutes in. Day one you should be seeing backers in the hundreds at least each hour. Mixture of factors i’m sure but the Hogan being a rerelease and scamming international customers would be my guess at the two biggest reasons. It’s doing better than the new gen at this stage but not by a whole lot. And there’s no early bird macho going to swoop in to save the day. It’s also still during the working hours for most. Only 4:11 where I’m at and not all jobs have the ability to have a cellphone out during working hours. I think tonight will be a real good idea if we see this tick up to, say, 1250 -1500 backers Thing is in the UK/Europe it’s late evening now. So we’re not seeing an uptick to keep that momentum going. Crowdfunds are all about momentum. And Mattel’s decision to gauge non US customers by literally hundreds has totally halted momentum. In the same way that the last crowdfund was messed up by taking patents immediately and having a poor value offering. And this time there’s no macho man to save us. |

Almost 1k already (800 so far), pretty good for Day 1.
I see a lot of folks saying they're gonna wait for Friday so that's another bunch coming in soon.
Feeling pretty good about this.

And don't forget the most important part. They'll complain when the figure comes out for $30 and not buy it because it's shelf warming. Then when it hits $200, they'll complain at not getting a fair shot, but still pay $200. I don't feel bad for anyone who buys these crowdfunds on the secondary market. If you can't afford it, that's a different story and I understand that not everyone has $400 to drop on toys. On another note, we need the Hot Toys demographic here. Those people drop serious cash. Speaking of Hot Toys...I wonder how something like the sideshow.com payment plan would impact something like these crowdfunding projects? This thing isn't scheduled to release until next summer...let's say June... If payments started this June, that would be a monthly payment of $33.33, and the last payment would have tax and shipping added Right before it ships If sideshow.com can pull that off, surely Mattel could 🤷🏻♂️ The products Sideshow are selling aren’t crowdfunds though. They have long lead times though that can make flex pay work nicely. Most Hot Toys figures for instance aren’t coming out for 9-12 months plus from the time they get listed. |

Honestly, Steve has confirmed this, but we need to get to 5k by April 7 or Hogan is out of the picture. We could end up with 6900k backers at the May deadline and it would only come with a Rey. I am just trying to think positive about this If they can just get th echarges sorted out, or even drop the charges, let the UK and other International Buyers just pay the $400 plus the shipping and let us worry about paying import and custom charges next year when they start shipping, you will see a huge boost in backers. Buyers in the US will back this, but the way international buyers are feeling at the moment its stopping them from pulling that trigger. |

I want this to get made, I hope everyone who wants it ends up getting it, I would love to own this set but 1) I absolutely do not have the space for it, 2) even with all 5 figures it's ridiculously expensive, even though I can afford it I can't justify paying $470 for this.
Throw in an ultimate Eric Eric Bischoff and Outsiders then I might consider it.

Just over 800 backers on a weekday before 5 pm eastern seems pretty good. Probably will get a surge this evening when people get off work and more this weekend. Hopefully it’s funded by Monday.
