I remember hearing that as a general rule most crowd funds secure 33% of their funding during the first 48 hours and 33% during the final 48 hours. That may not be the case here though due to the various unlockables. That makes sense, first 33% excited / early bird etc and last 33% FOMO etc

See this is the thing I can’t reconcile because people will spend $200 on a figure that was rrp $40 but think $400 for a literally HUGE set is not worth it. Not saying that’s right or wrong, it’s up to people to decide how to spend their money and more power to them but I personally just don’t understand it. But as I say each to their own And don't forget the most important part. They'll complain when the figure comes out for $30 and not buy it because it's shelf warming. Then when it hits $200, they'll complain at not getting a fair shot, but still pay $200. I don't feel bad for anyone who buys these crowdfunds on the secondary market. If you can't afford it, that's a different story and I understand that not everyone has $400 to drop on toys. On another note, we need the Hot Toys demographic here. Those people drop serious cash. Speaking of Hot Toys...I wonder how something like the sideshow.com payment plan would impact something like these crowdfunding projects? This thing isn't scheduled to release until next summer...let's say June... If payments started this June, that would be a monthly payment of $33.33, and the last payment would have tax and shipping added Right before it ships If sideshow.com can pull that off, surely Mattel could 🤷🏻♂️

I hope they give one of those Steiner heads an accurate goatee.
Why would they give Rey that black robe instead of the silver vest he debuted in? Far less toyetic looking.

Not true I had to use my visa debit Was there any charge, or is it true that it only gets charged at the end? I used my Visa debit card and the $855 (for 2) was taken out immediately…pending / on hold whatever you want to call it, my account had 855 taken out

Maybe I’m being pessimistic given how early it is but this thing really fell off 30 minutes in. Day one you should be seeing backers in the hundreds at least each hour.
Mixture of factors i’m sure but the Hogan being a rerelease and scamming international customers would be my guess at the two biggest reasons.
It’s doing better than the new gen at this stage but not by a whole lot. And there’s no early bird macho going to swoop in to save the day.

I used my Visa debit card and the $855 (for 2) was taken out immediately…pending / on hold whatever you want to call it, my account had 855 taken out it’s a pending charge. your money was not taken out. Technically, it is taken out because it’s subtracted from your “available balance” so banks will overdraft you if you don’t have the full amount in there currently and we’re planning to have it in before the end of the campaign, depending on which bank you use. Mine was removed from my available balance and is showing as a pending charge so it does remove from your “available “ funds. It’s a bit misleading but yes the pending charge will fall off in a few days. I can see how others who haven’t been involved in this before may be shocked when it’s initially removed

This is an amazing set and I will probably backed it by mid april using my work bonus. However at $812 Cad this can be a bit steep with no payment plan.

Only 4:11 where I’m at and not all jobs have the ability to have a cellphone out during working hours. I think tonight will be a real good idea if we see this tick up to, say, 1250 -1500 backers

As Steve said, the creations FAQ has been updated to show the price breakdown for all none US countries. Still struggling to fill the Gaia though. It states RRP for UK is £440 - VAT added only gets to £390 so other £50 for customs? I could live with that after getting a £60 charge for the new gen. I’d be raging mind if got a customs fee on top? If this price isn’t an error and they’re genuinely adding ridiculous surcharges then they should go back to how it was done before. Everybody here would rather pay the £65 and a £15 handling fee when this ships than pay £175 in customs on top of the £325 entrance now. I would much prefer this to happen. If it is 20% the total cost we have to pay in customs, then if I have done the maths correctly then; $400 is £324.88. Shipping is £9 which take the total to £338.88. 20% of £338.88 is £61.77 which will bring the total to £400.65 for UK. But it is costing £509 so if anyone can shed the light on what the extra £108.35 is for? Im usually crap at maths so I have probably calculated something wrong

That’s true, but we have to remember this is WWE fans we are talking about. A lot of people are working when this thing went up and we are getting a steady number of backers every half hour. The Hogan is a little bit of a let down yes, but, the info we got about Hogan today will lift some peoples spirits when they find out about the upgrades and see those renders. I do feel for the international markets that’s bull crap 100% just hope y’all can at least get 1 cause y’all are a HUGE percentage of WWE fans we need em for this one.

An hour and a half in it has 618 backers +73 from half an hour ago 2 hours it has 664 backers +46 from half an hour ago Slowed right down significantly every half an hour. I wonder where it’d be if they hadn’t ed up the price for non Americans? Probably gonna need about 297-300 backers per day for the next 37 days to reach 11k.
