I'm sorry, but I really don't get why there's so much attention on the figures. The item IS the stage. That's what they're selling. The figures are just window dressing, and they've been more or less throw-ins with any crowdfunded project. Expecting high deco or high demand figures packed with the stage never made sense.
Haslab Sail Barge - $499, 3.75in Jabba and Yak Face figures Haslab Sentinel - $349, 6in Bastion fig, 2 alternate heads Haslab Galactus - $399, Nova, Silver Surfer, and Morg 6in figs Haslab Skystriker, $229, 3 Cobra 3.75 early bird, 1 3.75 Scarlett, additional tiers not unlocked Haslab GI Joe HISS Tank & 6in driver - $299, early bird 6in HISS Tactician, 2 tiers of accessory upgrades, 6in gunner & Cobra Commander stretch goals Mattel Creations New Gen & UE Diesel - $250, Doink UE stretch, Macho Man early bird Mattel Creations Eternia - $550, earlybird King Grayskull, moat creature, Keclar stretch goals
For the size, detail, and lighting effects, the stage itself is very fairly priced. UE figures are far more involved (both deco and articulation) than anything else in similar projects. And they've added an earlybird and 3 figure tiers of stretch goals. If it's too big, too expensive, etc - I get it. But this item is VERY fairly priced and loaded with value even if it's just the first two figures.

The LED lighting alone is a huge factor to consider as well. That's stuff isn't cheap.

On the wall. The Stage is beautiful. The figures as the throw in are kind of lame.

Sadly, it would need to reach all the unlocks to be worth it…including the early bird. Rey was NOT the figure to include as the base figure, I’m sorry. He wasn’t a top player during that era of WCW that the stage is based on (‘95-early ‘99) he was important…but it was guys like Hogan, Sting, Flair, Nash, Hall, Luger, Macho, Giant, DDP, Goldberg that we’re ruling the roost at that point. Now, most of those names are either not available or already done. But why not Ultimate DDP as your base figure? And then keep Hogan as early bird, But make the first official unlock be Scott Steiner, then maybe Warrior, then Mysterio.

I just want the figures. Make those to order, at a slightly higher price point, if necessary.

I think with us tho something of that scale is more of a burden than anything. Yeah maybe we can try and find a spot for it but it’s something we don’t really need. We have to be enticed with other things to make it more appealing. The monetary value is there with the stage alone but not necessarily a personal value. Most of us are thinking “do I really wanna pay $400 and rearrange my entire display room to accommodate a 3.5 foot wide and foot and a half tall playset?” The figs are what sways our decision. Without em, it’s probably a pass.

Time will tell if this goes and how far…
That said, from a design perspective, this is outstanding. Home run. Clear that considerable work was put into executing this.
If it’s doesn’t get made, it becomes the biggest “what if” in wrestling figure history.

Wait, do people not live in multiple room houses with a room dedicated to just their collection? Even if you do this thing is massive and gonna take up a ton of space

I still think the Nitro stage is heaps better than the Attitude Era Raw stage. Its more intricate and has more things going on. It would be simpler to replicate using some quality foam and 3d printouts imo.

Yeah most of the complaints feel like it’s just that people will never be satisfied by these kind of offerings. The thing about Hogan & DDP tho I think is a pretty valid complaint, they’ve done tights DDP before and they already have jeans legs and a rib tape mold, and with Hogan I understand why they chose this attire but they probably could’ve chose. Something a little more unique to get people into it like the dark side of Hulkamania or another Hollywood Hogan but with better pigment But overall it’s very nice and it looks like they made the carpeting that’s supposed to look like metal a bit nicer between the first time it was shown and now

All the complaints that I'm reading across all social media, about the figures in this set, moreso than the price, really make me sad. I'm genuinely excited for this offering and I hope it goes all the way to 11k. Imma definitely throw down asap on Wednesday, but... I dunno... I'm not hopeful... there's more negativity than anything. =(

There’s just as many WCW ultimates in this crowdfund as there’s been actual releases.
So if this gets 11k we double the WCW collection!

I will start out by saying the stage and the ramp are incredible. This is a dream come true. I want this stage badly. The figures, however, leave much to be desired (and I realize they have accessories not ready to be shown yet.) Everyone has been asking for a DDP depicting his most common look during the boom of The Monday Night War. They threw us a bone in the Basic series years ago, but that's hardly enough. This is now the FOURTH time this attire has been done (only one had a pink stripe instead of blue, whoopie.) Legends, Elite, Best Of later this year, and now this. Like, I think it's a good candidate for the Best Of series, hopefully with better hair and beard paint apps, but why do this as the Ultimate? DDP in textured jeans, with removable ab tape, a diamond cutter shirt, the vest, the extra head & hands, and the US title - all of that stuff would make for the perfect DDP from '97-'98. It's weird, man. We have 4 DDPs from right before the boom period and then right after with his WWE-run figure. It keeps getting avoided. I don't understand why. I think White Thunder Scott Steiner is an excellent choice to do here, but the execution leaves much to be desired. I remember this look the most with him having his face in the star and the Superman logo. He also had one with "Big Poppa Pump" on the front. It's just too plain looking, why not do more with it? I get it if you can't do the Superman logo exactly, but why not just do an S with circle or something? Hogan is the most 'who cares' thing ever to me. We've had enough Hulks in yellow trunks for awhile. Not interested. That's not a bad Rey or anything, but we just got the E100 Rey from a similar time period, and that will suffice for me. This was an opportunity to redo Phantom Rey as an Ultimate with a ripped mask alt head and WCW cruiserweight title. I'd kill for a Mattel Juvi, but I know he's not under a Legends deal. Ultimate Warrior in jeans from his dog water WCW run. Pass. I'm sure it'll look cool with the duster, I get why some people would like this, but it's not enticing to me personally. The big question I have is where is nWo Eric Bischoff? That's most no-brainer thing. For me to be completely on-board with this, it'd have something resembling this: - UE DDP as described above included with the stage
- UE Booker T in dark magenta (like the Basic Flashback - youtube.com/watch?v=PVn51-tQmyA) with the TV title, alt head, durag, sunglasses
- UE Eric Bischoff in jeans in a molded nWo shirt torso, removable leather jacket arms & bare arms w/ black tapped hands, WCW nWo title, Nitro mic, alt head with light beard/shorter hair)
- UE Scott Steiner in a more detailed 'White Thunder' attire as described above; similar to what we're getting
- UE Mortis or Glacier. Something wild like that. This would be the Final Tier figure if funding is completed. I realize this depends on obtaining rights.
I kept Booker light on accessories so Bischoff could have all his. I also don't expect those to be exact (Booker in white or black would be cool, too). Anyway, enough fantasy booking. I'm just looking at the asking price and thinking about how much more enticing it would be without any of these figures included. Maybe just Scott with better deco? Anything to get this to be just that incredible stage without a bunch of extra stuff driving up cost. The shiny 'steel' WCW logos, the background banner graphics, the gritty burnt-metal look of the stage platform, the lights...the stage is seriously is amazing, and as someone who received the Nitro Arena from Toybiz back in the day, I could only dream of something like this as a kid. Mattel made something special here; this is a project with a lot of love put into it. I wish I could buy it by itself at reduced cost, or that the figure offerings appealed to me more to justify it. I don't want to undermine the stage with my complaints. 100%. The figures are puzzling, especially the DDP. I honestly don’t really want any of them except Steiner. The stage itself is amazing, however, for a WCW lifer like me. Will it be enough? Time will tell.

This stage looks incredible. I was initially not too big a fan of the New Gen one, but it really won me over when I got it in hand and I realized how elaborate and intricate the lighting was. This will absolutely be a step beyond that.
The figures aren’t bad, I’m puzzled at making Hogan the early bird. People have a few Ultimate Hogans by now (including one very similar one). I would imagine that making one of the new figures (DDP or Steiner) the early bird, that would have moved some units because people wouldn’t want to miss out on at least one brand new Ultimate.
I’m not 100% sure I’ll get this. Space is already a huge issue for me as a collector of a few different lines. But this WILL be an incredible stage, no question.

One thing I don’t get is why announce a couple days before it launches? I think they wanna generate buzz but I think it has more of a negative fact than positive. It gives us plenty of time to pick it apart spreading what we don’t like about and possibly convincing others to share the same opinion. By the time Wednesday gets here some of people on the fence may have decided not to back it. It’s plenty of time to talk yourself out of it. Now if they woulda showed the trailer and at the end said “back now” how many woulda paid right then and there without thinking?
