Everyone said this was a terrible idea when they used it on Taker. Nothing has changed. It looks like he's wearing a tank top over bike shorts. Perfect is one of my favorite guys all time. I wish they could get it together and put out a "perfect" one of him. I'd say the orange singlet is the closest so far for me, but plenty of room for improvement with him. I like the head on this one, though. I think the retrofest is the best Perfect figure so far, good scan and slightly chunkier body, although should still be bigger. |

This figure should’ve been the chase. It should’ve gotten the Legends Lex Luger treatment. The regular version is Curt Hennig with ponytail, NWO shirt, and bonus Mr. Perfect head. Then the chase is Mr. Perfect with a different color singlet and the writing on the boots.
It feels like such a missed opportunity. I’ve been wanting a WCW/NWO Curt for years. The only Mr. Perfect I’ve liked so far was in the Heenan Family 4-pack.

I’m assuming they’ve done the blac detail at the back too rather than the blue? This should have been a bigger torso, moulded singlet in illuminated’ highlighter’ yellow, smaller knee pads. There’s not many things this board is in complete agreement with but what Mr Perfect should be, is one of those rare occasions. We’ve all been asking for the same thing for so long and they’ve butchered everything here 😩 yes the back is black |

That’s not on Mattel though, that’s what he chose to wear at survivor series 92 😅 I agree we need a Perfect iconic yellow or blue but that doesn’t take away from the fact that so far, the retrofest is the best attempt they’ve made. |

Like I said about the Boogs, trying this with Taker is commendable and it’s a shame it didn’t work. Using it again, not so much.

I don't hate this singlet top, like I said in another thread. It was okay with Taker but I ended up putting the top on my UE Jeff Hardy.
I'm curious about the longevity of the material if someone constantly pulls it down

I blame every one of you begging for a cloth singlet. Those things look horrible and just because you have no taste doesn’t give you the right yo doom the rest of us. I have the Andre and Bundy with the cloth singlets. That’s the best those will ever get and they’re awful. The shape is wonky and the straps don’t stay in place.

I remember a lot of folks here asking for removable singlets, cloth singlets etc. I hands down prefer sculpted pieces whether it's singlets, biker trunks etc. For jackets, I prefer cloth unless, it has intricate details. |

I’m pretty unhappy about this, as a good Hennig figure is at the absolute top of my list. I’m not a fan of either of the elites. This is very slightly better because the face is amazing and he’s not a stick figure, but I really don’t like that singlet. Why can’t they just make a thicker, wider singlet torso that isn’t super ripped and tall like the Undertaker torso. This has been overdo for so many years. RVD is kind of similar, but you can get by with it because of the deco.
Edit: also, more guys need suntans. It’s like there’s 5 skin tone flavors in Mattel land: mayonnaise, dark peach, mocha, dark chocolate, and hot dog. Flair, Savage, Perfect, and others actually have darker tans too. They could probably use the Hogan color and they’ll look better. Hasbro Perfect and Savage were actually the same color as Hogan and it was fine.

Someone should do a bad recorder performance of Mr Perfects theme to honour this figure from shoulder down.
Post it on YouTube with the picture of the figure lol.
(Like the Jurassic Park one lol)
Yeah I would like a more tan look to some of these. Not Hogan level but the 80s/90s was sunbed city.
The plastic tops are garbage…nice idea but it just doesn’t work.

I remember a removable singlet being suggested A LOT for future Mr. Perfect figures…after seeing the backlash from using it on that RSC Undertaker, you’d think they’d can this rubber singlet of doom. I guess not.

I’m grateful we finally get a Curt I can afford, but I do question why the choice to make this plastic when they’ve established that this year and beyond is soft goods central. Like, I’m sure nextman’s is gonna come in and correct me, as I am uninformed, but why the choice to go plastic on this figure when soft goods are way more important for the legends over the modern guys?
And I say that because legends collectors are way fussier, not because the legends are necessarily more important figures.

I think the Andre singlet is great. It's skin tight and not bulky like the old Jakks ones. See the thing is, removable singlets allow you to pull the straps down when playing with figures. If a wrestler does it in real life then it's great to be able to do the same in figure form. |
