If the main plate was bigger, that would go hard.

I like the new modernized big gold design. I think an easy win would have been to use ruby jewels rather than clear diamonds, but that's a small nitpick. It's clear this will be the top championship on Raw or Smackdown post-draft, which should spice things up and give more opportunities to a ton of talent that has taken an L to Roman over the past three years.
I also really like how Triple H positioned the title as one that will be defended regularly, making it more of a workhorse title than the WWE Championship. I'm just hoping all of the progress made on elevating the mid-card titles (primarily the Intercontinental Championship) throughout the last year continues despite the introduction of the new World Heavyweight Championship.
Very curious about who they'll give it to first. I'd imagine Seth or Drew are top contenders, while Cody continues working toward a rematch with Roman down the line.

Cody couldn't win the big title so the promotion is making a consolation title and saying it's just as important.
Where have I seen this before?

Why are people shitting on the "big" WWE branding? I can understand the WWE title, but this is a fraction of the size. AEW, ROH, IWGP, Impact world titles ALL have big branding slap bang in the middle, but no one criticises them for that?

It looks in terms of size and gaudiness too much like the IC belt for me and it’s like they’ve taken a really iconic design and slapped a black/metal sticker bang in the middle of it. Ugly ass ing thing. Like in twenty years, nobody going to be lauding that thing. I’ve never been too hot on any of the belts outside WWE either. Not sure, suppose it goes hand in hand with a lot of creative/design in media/branding nowadays. Mid.

If they wanted a another belt roman could have lost one without taking a pin fall in a multi person match where the opponents pinned one of the others. That way the belt is gone but he doesn't take the hit and then it could be revealed/changed to the new belt.
Adding ANOTHER belt to the Wwe championship and Univesal belt is overkill and definitely paints it as a consolation/participation award feel in my eye unfortunately.
Shame coz its definitely better looking the 2 belts roman is carrying

Personally, it's because this is their 5th current world title that has their giant logo on it. It'd be fine if the other 2 men's titles and the women's titles all didn't look the exact same. To each their own.

I really like it. Kinda crazy that Cody will get his moment in Saudi Arabia, but a title win is a title win. I really hope Cody is the first champ, then a heel, then Zayn.

I don't dislike the physical belt. I feel like it's a decent compromise in maintaining WWE branding while also paying homage to the historic title design. I don't think it's the best belt but it's far from being genuinely awful.
What really bothers me is the way WWE has handled the whole belt unification stuff. I don't think the initial unification was necessary at all and I think it would've benefited from being two world titles defended on their respective brands. However, after they booked themselves into the unification corner, there was a bit of an issue because there's no way you can split the titles and make it feel legit because there is always going to be a problem. Someone only wins one belt? He looks stupid for not going for both. The title holder voluntarily splits the titles? He looks stupid for forfeiting a belt he's perfectly able to defend.. There was no way out.
I do think it is salvageable, though. I don't know if they're going to do it but they should push heavily that this is a continuation of the old WHC's lineage in order to get some of that prestige (even if it was kind of gone by the time it was retired). They have to officially merge the Universal title's lineage into the WWE Championship's and just drop the undisputed tag like when the WHC was first introduced.
Also I don't think Cody is going to win this one. It doesn't make sense and Triple H is a smart enough booker that I don't think he'll do that.

If the rumors of Cody staying on Raw are true, its gonna be a while before he gets a shot at Roman for those titles. So personally I'm good with Cody winning this one,no matter if its a consolation prize, has WHC linage, where it happens or a brand new belt. Its still the top title for that show and I think he deserves it and the fans sure seems to be completely behind him.

To be honest, a 50-man no disqualification battle royale for the title is the best way to go.

I love the new title, just wish they'd color the globe in with blue and green to make the gold pop more. Not a fan of the strap colors showing through trend they're following these days. As for Roman, hopefully they absorb the Universal title into the WWE title moving forward having only two world titles with one being on each show as the Universal title has less history than the WWE Championship and is a ridiculous name anyways. What multitude of alien species are we wrestling that we need to have a champion of the Universe for anyways? I wanna see Gable, LA Knight & Theory be one of the first. I want Sami to have his moment and Main Event Jey as well. I also want to see the workhorses like Sheamus, Drew and Gunther (after he breaks HTM's record) get their moments possibly after Gunther wins the 2024 RR. Maybe the next time we see the three together in a ring is at the next WM in another triple threat only this time it's for the WHC. I would also like to see Cody finish his story with Roman and then Dom defeat him or Sami (they're the most beloved baby faces) for one of the titles (by cheating) eventually. If he can keep his heat up until the time is right and WWE is smart enough to strike it would be one crazy moment for wrestling. Edge or Mysterio getting one last world title reign could work too with the right story but it would have to be a short reign and closer to their actual retirement. So many options. Rollins and Orton have to be in the conversation as well. Gonna have to wait and see this draft. Knowing WWE and with it being in Saudi Arabia we'll get Goldberg winning and going on his retirement run with his first four defenses being against Rhodes, Sami, Gunther and Bronn before finally losing at WM 40 to Roman Reigns where he unifies all the titles
