I don't mean this as a knock on Zombie, but it's been known for a while that Macho's license was available even while he had a WWE deal (similar to others) thanks to stuff like the Micro Brawlers, the BCA, the MWFP guys talking about how the fee was very expensive when they were trying to make a deal for the Bendie line, etc. So again, not knocking Zombie, but whatever's (if anything) going on with Macho and WWE this is likely less a case of him being in the know/ready pounce and more being willing/able to pay the required licensing fee. You may be right and I hope so as I want Mattel to get the UE out but a bendy is one thing (like the guys doing Hacksaw) as Mattel arenāt in that marketā¦ this would be a first, a company making a figure form of someone under a WWE deal that Mattel are in the market with (Retros). Iām not saying itās impossible but feels unlikely? Super 7 Andre would fit that description I'd say. That said, I don't disagree in the sense that there definitely seems to be some smoke to the idea that something is up with the Macho/WWE relationship, I just don't think the Zombie is be-all/end-all proof of it.

Super late to the party. I have not had my pre-order canceled or anything. Is Ringside waiting to see if there will be a Macho 18 or what? I got mine from their competition who sent out emails about the options you can choose with the cancellation which I made , but as of today it still hasnāt been cancelled either. Good luck getting your money back if it's who I think.

Theres also been Warlord, Bulldog, and Valentine āHasbrosā. I also believe Storm had Hogan figures in the works even before WWE separated themselves from him after his comments were leaked.

Yes, Andre has had figures through Super7, Zombie Sailor, McFarlane Toys, and Mego (that I know of) while Mattel was still releasing WWE figures of him. If his likeness and Savageās are handled by the same people like Iāve heard, that makes me think Savage could also be non-exclusive.

Macho clearly doesnāt have an exclusive deal as he was already set to appear in the bone crushers line like a year ago. He also appeared in some indie RPG wrestling game.
Heās also clearly been under a deal with zombie for a while as if the license just expired within the past couple months itās not like zombie could have signed him, and got the fig to this stage in that time.
Not every wrestler gets exclusive deals. Davey Boy is getting multiple retro style figures with other companies. Piper got a NECA figure of NADA (and Mattel released one too).
Whatever this issue is has 0 to do with that carny ZST
Some of you need to use critical thinking skills a little more.

Well this is disapointing. Hopefully it doesnt have to do with rights to the costume cause that would be a huge can of worms opened, and that could kind of be because of ZST since hes workinf with the designer so maybe lay off peoples "critical thinking skills"
I hope this is just postponed instead of outright cancelled

The robe Macho DM is the UE I'm waiting for.

I don't think that's all that unrealistic honestly. Off of what they showed at Axxess that looked like it was going to be one of the most decked-out mainline Ultimates we've ever gotten. Another thing about this particular Macho Man, I do believe I've heard Bill say in videos that the WM7 Macho Man is one of his all-time favorite figures/looks. Of all the figures I could believe Mattel would hold back if it wasn't 100% right, I could see it being this Macho Man. That could be blind optimism, but the logic kinda tracks. All the influencers being quiet about this and not putting out any videos is another sign to me that something is up.

I donāt think this is the end of WWE Macho Man figures if anyone is afraid of that. We might not get any for awhile but if theyāve lost the rights to Macho they will definitely get them back eventually

The speculation of Randy Savage Mattel licence is ruining my buzz for the SDCC.

In defense of Mattel.....
They DID give us a LOT of Macho Man figures..... nobody can say that they didn't take full advantage of it while they had it. We got a lot of cool looks that I never thought we'd see...I do wish they'd given us a full version of his Wrestlemania 8 attire. He just looks un-finished they way that they did it, with no hat or jacket. This. It's probably an unpopular opinion - but if it IS the end of the Macho/Mattel licence, I actually wouldn't be too upset about it... we've had 12+ years of great figures, all (or nearly all) of his main looks - plus things like DM, UE, Superstars, Retro figures etc. I haven't bought 4 of the last 5 Elite Macho figures because they were looks I didn't want (and I already have the main Macho's I wanted). I would have liked this UE, but it's not the end of the world... they already made a great DM of it that still holds up. I'd rather have an UE Coliseum Collection figure, to be honest (if we were only getting one more figure).

Okay, SDCC is here, so I'm choosing to be a glass half full kind of guy on this.
Steve is typically pretty good at addressing stuff like this with us, and RSC hasn't mentioned anything about the cancellation yet. So my prediction: the production issues delayed this further than they felt comfortably keeping it in series 18, so they decided to cancel it from that series and are going to move it to a Ringside exclusive once they get the production issues sorted. The silence is because they wanted to wait to reveal this at SDCC. Am I wrong? Maybe, but we'll see I guess.
