Could be Ali. The Greatest Generation hated him for dodging the draft amongst other things like being a trash talker and joining the Nation of Islam and changing his name. Ali vs Monsoon or Inoki two pack perhaps or maybe WM1. Speaking of WM1, maybe Liberace as well. Another controversial figure because he was quite flamboyant.

I don’t recall him there at all. Jesse and Gorilla did commentary and Mean Gene and Lord Alfred did backstage interviews. I can see ref Ali and Piper in the Panther shirt. |

You may be right but here's another scoop from my buddy that owns a toy shop. If it is Rodman don't expect him to be paired with Hogan because Mattel isn't going to waste Hollywood Rules Hollywood Hogan Ultimate as a comic con exclusive when that figure alone will sell thousands at retail. Also he isn't being paired with Bischoff because nWo Bischoff is going to help sell the WCW ring. He isn't being paired with Macho Man because we just had an nWo Macho so who do you pair him with??? Don't sleep on Dennis Rodman and Karl Malone like my buddy said... |

It absolutely has to be Kaufman & Lawler. The Johnny Knoxville body is perfect for Andy Kaufman, and I seriously can’t see Mattel passing up another chance to reuse a body that has so much unique tooling. That set is perfect for a product aimed at collectors like SDCC.
No way they’re going to waste Bad Bunny on a release that limited when they could make so much more money with wider distribution.
I will be absolutely shocked if there’s not an Andy Kaufman figure involved.

Georgeous George was controversial because of the robes and make up so manly men would have hated his flamboyant look. George was big in 1950s as well. Maybe Bruno is the anchor or Buddy Roger's but man that would be so niche nowadays. Leave those guys for PowerTown. |

Plus, I don’t think Kaufman really hits that nostalgic itch. His feud with Lawler was a regional storyline pre-rock n wrestling. Yes, the Letterman segment garnered national headlines at the time but a great majority of us never actually witnessed it as it happened. Most of us only know about it from clips and/or the Jim Carrey movie. |
