I believe that is the plan going forward. I just finished the Wrestling Figure News podcast with the recent Kanik interview. He said that 2 per wave would be the norm, and that Series 4 (Andre/Savage) would be just 2 figs. He noted series 3 was upped to 3 to fit in Flair after they paid a lot to get him signed, and they may add him to other upcoming waves (wrestling gear, robe, etc) as a 3rd fig for those waves. Wow, my mistake then. It is weird that I thought I had read about it in this thread or heard it on the Major Pod but admittedly I have not been able to focus on much lately. That makes me happy to hear though as 3 would have stretched people thinner in my opinion.

At every other month and $50 per figure (a little more for Andre, Kanik said), I think 2 per wave is more reasonable for more people.

VintageFigs1 on the latest MajorPod, you suggested that if you did The Bushwhackers for this line, you may need to slightly alter their look and change their names. Why is that? Jannetty has his Mania 5 attire, and Demolition figs are using their WWF names and looks. I’m guessing it is case by case, and depends on which trademarks WWE retains. But even so, why would they maintain rights to The Bushwhackers? Thank you for your time, as always.

Wwe literally renews and owns trademarks and likenesses to prevent other companies from profiting from their intellectual properties. But also to make merchandise of their own

I thought I remembered seeing them wrestle on the indies after leaving WWF, with at least close to the same looks, gimmicks, etc.

Demolition definitely own those likeness/trademarks now and have had issues with wwe for quite some time (which is why they aren’t in the HOF) i assume powers of pain are in the same situation. If a company is able to sell product using the actual names its likely they now own there own intellectual properties. Exceptions are guys like savage, bulldog, andre who have 3rd party ownership and sell those properties and are not exclusive to anyone If he is saying the whackers would have to be adjusted, then luke, or butchs estate can’t legally use the whackers look or names outside of a wwe agreement

It’s just surprising to me that it could be the case for them. I don’t recall seeing WWE Bushwhackers toys or other merch in years.

I’m always curious to see what a company would oppose.
Bushwackers (no h after the w) Bush Whackers (space added) Bushwhackerz Bushwaxers Bushwankers Bush Luke Whackers Butch
They could always just go with the Sheepherders but calling them Luke and Butch would be fine too.

Maybe go the real-names route, like retro Indy lines often do? Not sure if it’s real names or just Sheepherders ring names, but I vaguely recall them being called Luke Williams and Butch Miller in their pre-WWF days.

Wrestlemania V Randy (orange with no white stars). Render looks really good and it’s a solid/playable pose. Looks like Elizabeth could sit right on his arm. If I had to criticize anything it is that it almost looks too realistic (as in not as cartoonish as many LJN’s). I imagine it would be hard to tell an artist “great job but make it worse.”

Plus, they're missing the bandage on the right arm, and he wore a headband instead of a bandana. If they don't go with the stars on the tights, then the closest match would be Royal Rumble 1989, though he wore orange knee pads at that event as well. Though, it looks more like the WM4 tights, possibly they just haven't added the stars on the trunks. Though, he didn't wear a bandana at WM4, he wore headbands.

Matt - are you guys running this past D Freedom?

I love this! I knew it would be great but I’m blown away by Macho. I’m all in on this line and am looking forward to building my collection of BRGs. Takes me back to simpler times when carpet floor wrestling wars were running wild in my great grandparents living room.

Just discovered this forum and enjoyed reading through all the comments and hopes for future figures in the line!
We ordered all of the Big Rubber Guys so far. Series 1 is great, and my Dad and brother also purchased and were impressed (and very excited for Demolition). The case style is great to us, you can take them out with destroying the boxes which is a very nice detail (especially with the weight of the figures). We don’t open them, but its a nice touch in our opinion.
I wanted to share something we noticed. Our series 1 backing carding is getting damaged by the holder rails on the back. Ours are bending on the bottom where the rail is partially closing on it because they are too big. I thought maybe it was just ours but my Dad noticed the same thing. This would be the only piece of feedback I hope can be looked into for future figure releases. Everyone loves the figures though… we cannot wait for Series 2 and 3 to arrive! We plan to pick up Macho Man and Andre too!
Thank you to the Major Wrestling Figure Podcast team for this fun new line that works so well with the LJNs!!!

I just rewatched the first Survivor Series from 1987. This event took place during the thick of the LJN era, and reaffirmed the need for me to get Big Rubber Guys of Hercules (in ring gear) and Tama. Both were workhorses/ unsung heroes of this event. Begrudgingly, I have to also admit that The Young Stallions, while never my favorite team, also looked good here and worthy of LJN/ Big Rubber Guys.
