Went to my Walmart today two full sets of 102. Picked up the chase theory and left the rest for others. First elite I’ve found in that Walmart in probably a year

I blame Walmart in general (maybe unfairly). No hate for any Walmart employees just trying to make a living, but Walmart in general has a "I don't give a &@%^" attitude, and I see it every time I go there.
There seems to be zero motivation for their employees to try.

I mean, they have poor pay and nonexistent benefits, and their stores are perpetually understaffed while they're exhorted to do more with less.

Nowadays I feel like I have a better chance of getting struck by lightning then one of my Walmarts looking remotely close to that. Post of the year right here. You see this post Action Figure Attack and everyone who works on the mattel/wwe line ?? I can't buy anything if nothing is stocked.

Chip This is the future as i predict. Mattel will go into bankruptcy or get taken over by hasbro within 10 years. In 20 years toys departments will no longer exist in retail stores. For every 1 walmart store that looks like still there is probably 3-4 that are full of empty pegs. So a company can not stay in business like this long term.

Lol who's going to be doing their shopping at in-person retail stores in 20 years? Groceries, sure. Clothes, maybe. But toys? I can't believe you guys are shopping in person now, let alone in two decades.

Just for fun - this is another Walmart that’s 30 minutes away from me. I popped in just to see if any RA figs were there. Completely different look at this Walmart.

I am mostly buying aew figures because they actually get stocked. Its pretty much all rsc for wwe/mattel figures now because it has gotten so much worse.

Hit 3 Walmarts this morning, PA & Delaware.... zero Ruthless Aggression..... zero new Elites. Some new(er) Basics..... no thanks.
Was really hoping to find these Elite Bonanza Displays I've been seeing flooding my Facebook feed, but nope, nothing.

The majority of people don't want to be locked in their homes 24/7.

Online shopping is so you don't have to waste your day at a Target.

On the rare occasion there's a store exclusive I need, I just buy or trade for it online. I mean, the whole point of these exclusives is to try to get people to spend extra time in physical stores so they buy other things, and I'm not falling for that. I worked retail during college, I'm very happy to avoid being in a big box store now.

Commerce is supposed to run on a basic logic of "Here is a thing I want, and I will hand you money dollars for it," and that's just not what happens anymore at in-person retail. I feel bad for people who really want the RA figures or anything else where the stores just don't seem to be stocking them with any consistency.
But for me, it's usually just the occasional quarterly event wave figure I want, and now Ringside has them anyway.

If Walmart would figure out how to properly list and fulfill online orders then we’d all be in a better position. If I can get on Target app and order or do store pickup for a legends wave that came out months ago then Walmart should, at least, have a smidgen of competency.
