Savage was such an a$$ consumed with himself he wasn't paying attention to the action and paid the price. When the hulkster dropped the leg on him to pin him at WM5? It was GLORIOUS. BATB 96 & him ending his reigns in WCW was good but man WM5 was f☆☆king magnificent 💪🔴🟡 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Ya thats the stuff....too busy vein popping with sh#t promos to get it done in the ring 🤣🤣🤣

It made sense for Big John Studd to win if they were going to make him a top babyface. It turned out to be the defining moment of his career.

Lets face it, had Hogan not charged in there and eliminated Savage with that big body of his, Savage would have found a way to eliminate himself within the next five minutes anyway That just shows his greatness... He can eliminate himself but still stay in the rumble... But, just for the comment, take that...

I was fine with Studd winning. I think back in 89, winning the Rumble seemed more like a standard battle royal win than something The top line acts didn’t need to win the match at this time.

studd winning and not just hulk, andre or savage also helped me love 1990 rumble alot more thinking anyone could win it
once hogan won 2 in row i knew from then on it was only going to be VERY top stars that were gonna win it. alhough yoko winning was a bit of surprise in 93 rumble

Once the belt, followed by the WM title shot was the prize, it limited the possibilities of who could win. I love the Rumble event, but that’s my only gripe. Always thought it was an opportunity wasted. Say for instance, Mr Perfect won the 90 event. Could have him eliminate Hogan along the way, gaining a win of sorts over Hogan. The RR win would have elevated Perfect (or indeed anyone in line for a push) and getting the better of a bigger star in the event would add credence, whilst doing no harm at all to the bigger star. Even Maven gained a bit of momentum by eliminating Taker.

I genuinely thought 100% that Sid was gonna walk into the RR92 and dominate as well. In my own RR92 with Hasbro's which was probably in 93(LOL) he dominated HARD

Hogan winning in 89 made way more sense than in 90 that's for sure. Perfect and Warrior both needed that 90 rub far more than Hogan.
