We all were groaning about Walmart and justifiably so, but all of a sudden, as we have seen, they have exploded. Since the beginning of July, they have been putting out tons of WWE elite products, including
Elite 100, previously only at Target
Elite 101
Elite 102
Summerslam
Wrestlemania 39
Greatest Hits 1
Greatest Hits 2
Ruthless Aggression 3, 4 and 5, and in some places even 6 has shown up.
What's even crazier is that there has been no rhyme or reason to what the stores are getting. Some are getting Summerslam trays full of elites, some are getting cases, some have gotten nothing. Every post that has been made shows a different mix of elites that person has found. I can't think of a time in 30 years of collecting that this much stuff hit all at once, even in 2010 when Mattel Launched with Basic 1, Elite 1, 2 packs 1 and 2, Wrestlemania Heritage, and Entrance Greats all in the first week.
If a person was to buy all of these elites right now, it's 62 Elites at a retail price of $1488! Like I was saying, I can't think of any other time in collecting that this much product hit all at one time. May our wallets forgive us.

This is a product of Walmart not stocking items and Mattel stepping in and getting all that product out.
We can only hope things get better. The MNW line will literally be a war,

It’s nice to hear some Wal-Marts are actually putting out product. However, it’s still inconsistent.
Florida, for example, has not seen any of the newer RA sets from what I’ve seen on the boards. South Florida, from my experience, has not seen one of the sets you listed.

None of my Walmarts have any of that. It’s very inconsistent right now.

The only thing that’s exploded in my WalMarts are the aisles looking like a bomb went off, wiping out any product.

Thankfully (sort of), I got most of these through not Walmart.
E100 = RSC
E101 = RSC
E102 = RSC (chase Theory and Edge), another retailer (GUNTHER), Walmart (Zayn/Ripley/Foley)
WM39E = RSC
SummerSlam Elites = RSC
GH1 = Walmart (only needed Rikishi & Bigelow)
RA3 = the 'Bay (dumb overpaid for them 'cause my town's Walmarts were dry for too long & I lost patience)
RA4 = Walmart
RA5 = Walmart
GH2 & RA6 = Hasn't shown up in my town, yet
Walmart has only seen $275 from me. RSC saw more of it, 'cause I was willing to pay more to get them now and out of the way; so did the 'Bay for RA3. Though I COULD'VE gotten them at Walmart for less, if I gave it time... for the moment, I wasn't willing to wait. I'm fine with that; what's past is past. I don't mind paying for peace of mind, if the circumstances call for it. 'cause you never know when something won't be easily available. #ShootYourShot

Nothing has changed with Walmart's online orders and preorders. That's a major problem that needs to be fixed. These shippers ain't it. |

This boom and bust cycle has been going on for a while. It seems like the Legends line and Top Talent Elites are the only figures - Elite or basic - that have had any consistent availability over the last 18 months.
From a design perspective, they've been killing it. But the lack of availability has me passing on a lot of figures I'd otherwise buy. I'm burnt out on checking stores for months with no new product, and then having to make a mad dash around the city hoping to maybe get lucky and find the figure I'm looking for only to find most stores picked over.

My walmart has a couple Mae Youngs, a bunch of basics from 8-10 series ago, some Nyla Rose and Hangman Page. It's not just wrestling figures though, they have the same xmen marvel legends they have a year ago, as well as a couple of the zombie iron man that came with no baf piece.

Imagine trying to collect anywhere but the states.
It’s even worse.
Not even E-bay has a healthy selection of the new ruthless aggression etc…
It’s becoming a absolute nightmare and I haven’t been able to keep up.
Don’t even know if the UK are getting the Summerslam set.
We got 3 of the 4 royal rumble baf’s they didn’t even bother to ship Brie Bella.
Absolute joke.

This has been a horrendous year for retail. I honestly cant belive this much product has just been sitting around doing nothing for months, when it could have been trickled out to actually give people a chance.
Instead its nothing, then 900 figures all at once, so you have to make a decision to drop $400 if you wanted a lot of the stuff all at the same time
it's like they have NO concept of budgets and managing money
just throw everything we have out and fill it up!
