What ultimates would y’all want with raw is wat stage? I feel like there isn’t much left for AE ultimates None. The stage should sell itself. The figure offerings shouldn’t matter.

I hope they do a Raw is War next. Mainly to see how the conversations go when it don’t get backed either. Unfortunately, Steve has let it be known through some comments that any large stage won’t be attempted anytime even near soon

I just think it wasn't logical to release the Raw is War ring then have us fund the Nitro stage.

Lackluster lineup of wrestlers killed this. Rey as the base figure? Nuts. You had 10 different rey mysterios released within last 2 years. Boring. Hogan? Red n yellow? Boring, MNW Hogan as ultimate? Yes. I love Hogan, but come the on with that. Same DDP released twice as an elite into an ultimate? Boring. Jeans DDP yes. Only figures I wanted from this set was Steiner and warrior. And they were the furthest in line to achieve. Until they added Steiner to the base, and afa foolishly thought by the voting of his Instagram would translate into more sales. Judging from the comments from his live videos, 80% of his followers are little kids who would be lucky to buy a $30 figure let alone a $ 400 product. Besides Steve, we need unbiased people working the wwe section of Mattel. Bill is a great designer when he wants to be, but he needs to have less input in what should be made.

They did it backwards. Should've went with raw stage first, than wcw. The raw ring came out first, so a raw stage should've followed it. If the took away the stage and put the raw stage in its place. Then it would work I disagree... I'm sure Steve said without the tooling they needed from the Nitro Stage, the RAW stage would be a LOT more expensive ($100-$200). So you'd be looking at something costing $500-$600 AND something that takes up about a quarter of a room - maybe more - to display (...seriously, the RAW stage was ridiculously big). There's just not enough fans/collectors out there that would be interested in something like this. We might never know. But i think the wwe attitude era was where the money is. And i think it would sell fine. Yes its huge, but so was classics grayskull and it sold fine. Still does. The problem is mattel are being a bit useless with ultimate figures in general. They have got comfortable and now think whatever they make will sell no matter the pricepoint. So we end up with horiffic rushed figures that dont look as good as elites. Eddie, jeff, goldberg to name a few. The real issue though is that they made an ultimate edition stage without even testing the wcw market. There were 3 wcw ultimate edition figures available (i think) at the time they offered the ultimate stage. Macho hogan and warrior. Hardly merit a stage lol. And finally..the figure choices sucked ass. The rey was bland, hogan just looked like the amazon exclusive, ddp was rank and scott steiner was mediocre at best. Warrior sucked too. They should have went with the faces of that era. Nash/hall/hogan/ with belts and better steiner and another goldberg with better parts

I truly can't believe anyone wants to go down this rabbit hole again after months of it on the main Nitro Stage thread.
It would have succeeded if 5000 people supported it. They didn't. If you really wanted that stage - the figures didn't matter. Not enough people wanted the stage.
End of story.

They’d want to put an anchor like Austin or something but outside of that a UE Mr McMahon, UE Shane (When he purchased WCW) then a FTITL like a Gangrel or Val Venis would get the RAW stage done.
They should have gone with that after we already had the ring and I still think it would be way more popular than the nitro. Chances of it happening very slim now though.

Anyone just feel that Steve has kind of given up ever since this failed? Barely posts on the forum. At SDCC he didn't even seem to sport any WWE merch. I wouldn't be surprised if he moved on from WWE Mattel.

I wouldn't be surprised if he moved on from WWE Mattel. Many users on this board were cringe-worthy insulting towards AFA Steve during the whole "Nitro Stage Crowdfund" Era. I wouldn't be one bit surprised if he was taking some time away from this forum. But overall he seems to love his job so I doubt he's "moved on". I certainly wouldn't walk away from a dream-job over one failure. SDCC is likely one of his busiest times of the year.... and I would be surprised if he didn't take some much-deserved Vacation Time once it's over!

People need to keep in mind that any interaction he does here is his own time. He answers questions because he is a fan too. Remember Bill got chased out of here before, let's not have that happen again.

The only thing that would have worked is if every backer for the stage had Bill miekina personally drive to their house and give them a kiss on the lips Thats the only way, it likely would have sold out day 1

Definetly. It would be an incentive to buy more than one

The reality is though, you'd probably only be getting 2 guaranteed figures... and the whole thing would cost $500-$600. Would enough people (5k) be willing to pay that? I don't think so. Plus, with the bat-$h!t way Mattel do it, huge items like this are always going to be much more expensive for international buyers - which limits the potential market even further.
