I have heard that too about the baby blue tights.
Rick Martel though had great success in those colours cause that was his first colour of trunks after his heel turn.
I think Jake is forgetting some things in regards of that colour and wrestlers from years ago.

I was just watching the 1987 year in review video from around 2008 or so, in it, Honky Tonk man mentions this as well. He also brings up Muraco and Martel, but adds a new one, Greg Valentine. He wore baby blue tights during his R&B days, most notably against Hogan & Tugboat on a SNME, and he was gone less than a year later. Very strange.

Yeah, but I think what those two (Jake and Honky) were referring to was someone wearing something completely different then all of a sudden given baby blue (or light blue) gear to wear by the office. In Honky's case, he was wearing the baby blues from the beginning. |
