Yeah, but I think what those two (Jake and Honky) were referring to was someone wearing something completely different then all of a sudden given baby blue (or light blue) gear to wear by the office. In Honky's case, he was wearing the baby blues from the beginning.

Well I think that it is just a random case of irony that some guys got let go during an time frame when they were wearing baby blue

Valentine was wearing baby blue in 1988 at the Survivor Series for that PPV and then wore the blue trunks again in 1990 with HTM, and Valentine was back to wearing his black or yellow trunks all through 1991 and into 1992 before being let go.

I get that these old timers love to think back with rose tinted glasses for things, but the wrestling fan remembers and knows more it seems than they do about stuff like that because we watched it and still do. So our memory burn is a bit better than theirs.
