I was watching this video from Jake's podcasts, he states that once Vince and WWF creative puts you in baby blue attires, it meant your run was over. Pretty interesting to think about.
He lists a number of wrestlers, all of whom didn't last much longer. I also remember hearing that both Shane Douglas and the Body Donnas were not very pleased when creative put them in baby blue/light blue gear. I wonder if this is true, or just a very strange coincidence.

Muraco is the biggest one here to me. Those ''baby blues'' were a good representation of his failed face run

Not sure I agree though I can see how someone would think it. Body Donnas and Dean Douglas gimmicks were never going anywhere. Muraco was well past his prime and although at an age where he'd be getting a title run because he was a top guy at one point, back then it meant moving on from WWF. Sid's was just an unpredictable career overall.
The video won't load for me but I see Rick Martel and a Rougeau Brother pictured. Martel (the pic is from 1990) went on to be with WWF another four years. He wore baby blue in his last bit with WWF but he also started in baby blue and a heel Rick had more life than a face Rick. Rougeaus, though they didn't win much as heels, probably saw the most TV and PPV time they could. They also had a cool song and probably should have had action figures but they were around during the dying days of LJN and the very early days of Hasbro.

He also brought up himself, Hercules, Owen Hart, and Dino Bravo. Though, it's most likely coincidental, it's still odd that those guys were all given that color of tights by the company and didn't last much longer.

Bit of a stretch. And by bit, I mean major reach.

He came into the WWF wearing dark blue and red, then they switched him to the powder blue in late 1988 and was out of the WWF less than a year later.

Baby Blues didnt do Farooq any favors either.... Good thing he didn't wear that much longer, he never would have made it to the APA. Same with the Rock, he started wearing the lighter blue gear at the beginning of his career but switched to black quickly, that probably saved his career.

When did Jake wear baby blue that corresponded with him being pushed down the card? Jake was almost always over. He was almost always in a great storyline with a great spot on the card.
He wore baby blue on a Superstars match in 1988 that I saw. I think he wore the same outfit around 1989, 90 but that's when he was probably most popular.
Owen, Jake is probably thinking of when he went solo after the High Energy run and before the heel turn. That was probably Owen's lowest point but he would rebound just a few months later.
Hercules was probably his most over, not that it was much, when he wore baby blue as a face. Dino Bravo, the baby blue was really the only time he was ever interesting and he had a few good storylines. Any other time, no one really cared about Dino and he was just there. Really almost always a future endeavor waiting to happen.
I love Jake, he is an inspiration with his recovery and all he went through but he has a tendency to really not remember things well. I don't think it's outright lying like Hogan but just not really knowing any better.
