Hasbro are smashing it. What do you mean by failing? Those are older look how many have failed star wars, marvel ghost rider, giant man looks bleak, Jurassic park gates, and others yes some have successfully funded but times are changing prices are going up. The Jurrasic Park Gates were a Mattel Creations offering, not Hasbro. Hasbro has had 17 Haslabs since 2018. To date 4 of them have failed, that is an over 75% success rate. In the past year alone Hasbro has launched 4 Haslabs. As of today, 0 have failed. The ones that are already fully funded have passed and doubled their minimum target goals. Even if the current project of Giantman were to not fund, Hasbro would still have a 75% success rate for Haslabs this year. So yeah, Hasbro is kind of killing it when it comes to crowdfunded offerings, especially in the past year since times have changed and prices have gone up.

Idc what toy company it is, if you put out crowd funds you’ll have some thay fail. Idk what all mattel has put out crowd funding wise outside of wwe stuff/wcw nitro stage. But is it fair to compare that big stage to these other things? Wcw and wwe/f to me isn’t as big as GI Joe, Star Wars, marcel, etc. that stuff is going to sell; wwe is going to be hit or miss and they should have put out 2-3 more crowd funds at $250 before jumping to something so big like that stage at $700 or whatever it was. That seemed to be mattel getting greedy and it came back and bit them in the arse .

Putting aside what I would personally want and focusing on the overall picture, if there's another crowdfunded project, the focus needs to be on figures and the initial funding goal has to be something appealing enough that people don't sit and wait to see if the tiers are unlocked before they order.

I went with WM9 Entrance set and the Funeral Parlor set.
Not sure what figures could come with the WM9 set; Monsoon and Bobby Heenan in toga's would be fun figures, but I don't think that's really going to entice anyone. Hopefully the Steiner Brothers will be coming soon, and we're already getting an UE Yoko from WM9. Those would go nicely with the Hogan, Brutus, and HBK figures that have already been released. Maybe do Macho Man with the sedan as the early bird special (if he re-signs), Undertaker with the carriage and falcon as the main release figure and the main entrance as the first-tier items, the Narcissist with the mirrors and the black ring ropes, turnbuckles, and ring apron as the second-tier items, and maybe Bobby Heenan with the camel and maybe the giant structure over the ring as the third-tier items.
For the funeral parlor; Ultimate Warrior and the Warrior's Casket as the early bird special, Paul Bearer and the main set pieces as the first-tier items, Hulk Hogan and the Hulkster Casket with some other set pieces as the second-tier items, and Ric Flair and some more set pieces as the third-tier items. If we could add more figures, Undertaker, Roddy Piper, and Macho Man from the Funeral Parlor segment with Flair and Hogan would be great.

That seemed to be mattel getting greedy and it came back and bit them in the arse . Each toy company will definitely have some crowd funders that fail. It just seems as though Mattel does not have their offerings as dialed in as Hasbro for whatever reason. As for comparisons, I think they're pretty even in both price and size. The WCW stage (3,932 backers) was $400, it was 40 inches x 20 inches and stood 20 inches tall. The Ghost for Star Wars Vintage collection (21,768 backers) was $500, it takes up 28 inches x 34 inches and sits at 13 inches tall. That's pretty close all in all for display space or the price point being the issue. Also while I understand that you don't see WWE as big of a brand as something like Star Wars or Marvel but take into account the fact that Disney bought the entire Star Wars franchise for $4 billion. Marvel cost them the same. WWE on the other hand was just sold for $9.3 billion so someone definitely sees the brand on that same level in some way.

I think stages arent coming around again for a while after Nitro.
I would want to see HIAC or Elimination Chamber. The RSC Jakks Real Scale HIAC was one of my most prized figure possessions. That thing was amazing. Would love to see Mattel take a shot at it. But the figure tie-in should have been Mankind 98, since thats been done there isnt really another immediate thought that you default to.

But what you have to look at is a lot of these buyers are collectors who’s looking to get things they see value in. Wwe or Star Wars? Of course ppl are going to choose Star Wars every day of the week and twice on Sunday’s. The only things I collect is wwe and certain horror stuff, but even I know that wwe isn’t Star Wars when it comes to collecting.

The stage would’ve been successful I think if the international buyers weren’t screwed. The stages could still be done, but they need to start with something small when it comes to size and price.

I would love to have the Barber Shop, but, it wouldn't be complete without Marty Jannetty, which isn't going to happen. So I'd probably be content with Pipers Pit.

Just because someone brought it up. The Star Wars lightsaber Haslab failed because it was a lightsaber from the Inquisitors who are not hugely popular and the they chose the most unpopular Inquisitor to name it after.
There were also customs that had more features for less or about the sane price as the haslab version.
Imagine of instead of doing the blue cage or the Cell they did the kennel from Hell with AL Snow Bossoman and two security with two dogs.
