...enough with the crowdfunds.

Lol - let’s not pay too much attention to this poll. I doubt that any high end entrance stage will be offered again, much less backed.
I think they should do the Funeral Parlor and load it up with figures. Taker, Hogan, Flair, Warrior, Shango, Piper anyone who can remotely be connected to it.

None of the above. This community has proven they care primarily about the figs. Theres not a large enough base to support big ticket items. Mattel would be fools to attempt another.

Not sure why Pipers Pit needs a crowdfund. It’s a backdrop, a table, and a couple chairs. That’s $30-40 at the most. Pretty much the same with any interview set.

I supported the last two crowdfunding projects because they were Ultimate Editions and I was an Ultimate Editions completist (4 New Gen arenas, 3 Nitro stages).
But now I'm no longer an Ultimate Edition completist due to the introduction of US store exclusives (especially at Walmart which aren't carried anywhere outside the US, or largely within it either it seems), plus the addition of a third figure per series, plus the introduction of chases, etc., - it's just not worth the effort anymore for me to remain "complete".
So I wouldn't be backing ANY further project simply because I am no longer a completist, but taking the question on a less personal level, there's not much I can see that would succeed. The Nitro Stage was brilliant, but the price was too high for a project squarely aimed at the US market. Can they produce something worthwhile for a lower price? The rate of inflation in the US is way down, but inflation is still inflation, so it's difficult to see a Titan Tron or something coming-in for a cheaper price.
The figures always seem to be the main draw, or at least the main topic of conversation with the projects, but we shouldn't need crowdfunds for figures, especially when the problem seems to be WWE Legends contract situation, which a crowdfund can't address at all.
I'd be surprised if they try again.

I think Mattel did a poor job using figures to sell the stage. Several were not that great. Also saying here’s part of the draw for buying this stage (eg DDP or whatever) but you might buy the stage and not get it if 3,000 extra people don’t buy it actually discourages early buying and encourages people to wait around and see how many other people buy it. Not smart.
Anyways other problem is that even though WCW stage most awesome thing they’ve ever offered or maybe ever will offer, $400 is a LOT of money.

It’s a casket on a table with some flower arrangements. Not really something requiring Mattel to collect all the upfront costs beforehand before going into production.

What are you even talking about? We funded the New Gen and all the tiers. We came very close to getting the WCW arena funded & it would have gotten funded if Mattel would have fixed the international issue and not given us lame figures.

People were more concerned about the bonus items (figures) than the actual item (stage). New Gen only got funded because of the figures. Hardly anyone was pumped over the entrance or the ring. If Macho didn’t get added and Doink wasn’t a tier bonus, it wouldn’t have came close to being funded.

I think it's gonna be at least another year before we see a crowdfund from Mattel.
And including any massive suggestions in the poll is pointless because they won't be offered given how the Nitro crowdfund went.
If anything, their next execution will be smaller scale playsets like the barbershop or Piper's Pit, then they'll slowly (maybe) offer larger sets down the road. Anyone hoping for a Smackdown fist entrance or something like that -- don't hold your breath.

I think a Raw 2003-2005 stage with the lightning bolts would be sick and cost effective.

The stage would’ve been successful I think if the international buyers weren’t screwed. The stages could still be done, but they need to start with something small when it comes to size and price. in a dream world, an ecw brick and fence entrance would be cool and fit that criteria. also in the dream world, mattel has access to include raven, sandman, and a couple other ecw guys to the package. lower price point and a lower minimum could help sway people towards jumping on board even if it is a more niche piece oh to be in that dream world... If it makes sense and would sell don’t count on mattel to make it happen. They’ll tell you it’s to expensive and wouldn’t sell, but would move on to make something smaller that comes with 6 repaints of John cena

ECW Entrance doesn’t seem like it needs a crowdfund either even if you include the fencing. They can do something like the RAW letters entrance with that. Bundle it with elites of Paul E and RVD.

I hope we get nothing. It's just too stressful altogether. From the first crowdfund to the second, what we've learned is that wrestling collectors don't want to shell out $250+ for these sets. We had to literally grind and convince others for the New Gen set, plus Mattel adding the early bird tiers. It's strange though because you'll have collectors shell out this kind of money on customs and secondary market prices for figures. In the end, you'll have collectors say they don't have space for said items, plead and ask for the items (then disappear when they're being made or backtrack), say it's too expensive, it's not worth the value, it needs more figures, having unrealistic expectations for items that we'll never get (like oversized vehicles and figure sets that Steve said is not for crowdfunding). I participated in both crowdfunds and it sucks to be close to getting what you want and then nothing, but then again they're not guaranteed. I think after the last thread, I'd be happy with nothing. We don't get the illusion of cool items that won't exist. We could save the time and energy elsewhere. A popular running gag here is about certain members bullying MDT off the boards (though that wasn't the case at all). But yet the Nitro thread here and abroad was nauseating because of the behaviors you mentioned. Mattel is far from perfect but I wouldn't blame them for not trying to produce special items if all they're met with is consternation and armchair QB's that contribute to an overall negative view of an otherwise awesome project. It was terrible indeed and the thread was all over the place. I just wanted the Nitro stage and somewhat feel gutted that it'll never see the light considering my collection focuses around that era. Such a cool piece. That thread was so bad to the point where I kind of questioned warning bans. You had some over the top jokes, which were over looked like nothing. To an extent it made me wonder if people just report or snitch individually or as a mob. I got a one week ban for posting a joke about The Rock mind you.

Like I said back with the New Generation set was being solicited that the only crowd funding I would back was a WCW Nitro set. And I did but it didn’t so there’s nothing I would spend crowdfunding money on.

We were still over 1,000 away from funding it at the base level. That is pretty bad. And you aren't making a good argument for the stages. The figures are the driving force. The only reason that the New Gen arena got funded was for the figures (Macho pushing it the most) and Nitro would have had a better chance with better figures.
