Mitchs new Papa Shango looks good, but I wonder will many ppl buy it since we have the hasbro. I’ll definitely get the Kama though. Hopefully Mitch listens to the criticisms of Arn and Tully and fixes them. Tully looks too bloated. I'll be getting one. Smart move on his part going with the removable hat, that makes it just different enough - for me - from the original Hasbro. Also, the hat design is a bit different too. Yeah, I thought I read that he was going to make some alterations to the busters. Tully was a bit too big, hopefully he shrinks him a bit. |

As someone who's re collecting and trying to buy all the figures back I had growing up, I'd get Mitch's over the original Papa Shango anyday. |

Seems like he has multiple sculptors working on the line, this is closer to Arn and Tully than the great Mable and the Quebecers that we got. Is it just me, or does that look like someone put Drew McIntyre's head on a Rhyno body? I can see it… |

Definitely a step back -- it looks like a bad statue, or similar to ZST.
I'm still planning to buy Rogeaus, and still looking for original Mabel, but wouldn't buy more if they continue like this

Looks like there will be a Godfather figure coming out and it looks great in the renders.
That Rhino looks rough though. Easy pass for me.

yet more inconsistency from G+G
the revamped "Smoke Train" actually looks really good!! pity it's a remake rather than the initial release, because the new figure looks really good! (to the point where I'll probably buy one!) but this is what should have been sold from day one, the original figure was a mess, this is far far superior!
but Kama doesn't look good, re-using the reprint of the Hasbro body is lazy IMO, Kama wasn't a tall lean dude, his upper body was much bigger than the Hasbro Shango (and Shango seemed chubbier) but the remake Godfather torso is perfect, removing the vest and changing up the legs would work much better IMO as a Kama figure
and that Rhino - how does the quality go so far up and then down in the same week? it's like he's producing at both ends of the spectrum at the same time - Rhino's body is great, but that head looks awful! how does he still not have a team helping give constructive criticism in the background? it's been long enough now, these amateur levels of PR make him look like he's still not learning from the market

I love the rhyno figure. Face could be drew, could be pitbull gary wolf, could be rhyno. Perfectly detailed facial likenesses weren’t what hasbro was known for (see Piper) so it’s confusing when people say they want something totally hasbroesque then complain about things like lack of detail. People also are mixing up their own complaints. Saying something looks like a statue would imply it’s too detailed. How can it be too detailed and not detailed enough?

Rhino could be better. I don’t hate it but the face isn’t good. Godfather looks good but I’m not in a rush to get it. I’m happy to have supported the original. What’s wrong with the Kama figure exactly? It’s the same upper body as the new Shango (but with wrinkles in the shirt which will likely just be not included in favor of painting). the Kama figure is too tall, and too "thin" compared to the source
even the Shango (which is direct reprint of the Hasbro body) is not accurate, Shango was not a tall lean dude, Kama certainly wasn't, and the new Godfather actually gets it right
doing a Kama as a thin dude doesn't work, his upper body was much bulkier (though his legs didn't match, weirdly!) so I think it's too thin
if anything, I'd say use the new Godfather torso (ditching the vest obviously) and just swap out the head and legs, and I reckon it would be solid Kama figure
Shango's odd, I don't see the need to replicate the Hasbro but whatever, those who want one will get it, those who have the Hasbro (like me) probably won't but Kama is a great choice, just hope the execution is better than the IG pics to date

I think Kama and Rhyno look pretty good. I like what Hasttel is doing in general. His Rougeaus look fantastic, I kind of wish I'd ordered them. Looking forward to his various Bulldogs, especially the long tights version, but I don't know how available that'll actually be.

as I said, I really like the Godfather remake, pity it wasn't the initial release but we are where we are, I just find this week's Rhino reveal to have let him down again given how well Godfather looks
