The execution can be hit and miss, but Mitch has the best singings for me. Waylon Mercy, JPL, Kama, Bulldog in tights are all things I dreamed of as a kid.

Finger on the pulse of what customers want is perfect, it’s the stuff out of hands that seems to be the let down with the previous figures released (the renders and prototypes are a different entity imo, I don’t comment on them until close to release date anymore)

designs/renders/prototypes can all be done better, if he chose a better artist and a better digital designer - especially one who could produce good quality renders/prototypes so they actually look like the talent so the artwork/proto reveals are more "HEY!!! Look at this!" rather than "This is gonna change before you get it, but here's an early stab at it"
even Mattel make sure their concept art matches who they're making before they let the audience see it, why is it so difficult for indy companies to take such a basic step up in professionalism? it (sadly) makes G+G look amateur compared to the others now. and his signings are great, just the execution still seems hit and miss - each release should progressively get better, not the one step forward, two steps back, approach we've just seen with some recent releases

The internet is just full of armchair quarterbacks who can do everything better than everyone else. Nowhere else in the world can you find such a gathering of accomplished keyboard commandos. I love the internet.

I guess the “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” comes into play here. If Mitch is happy with how they look and posts an image and gets backlash from people who don’t agree with him then that’s kind of out of his hands. We don’t know the processes or the conversations that happen behind the scenes but maybe he posts the early images for feedback and then changes when he has it? He gets honest (by some) feedback for free that way

Sorry I didn't get in on the Rougeau bros - saw someone's recent delivery and they look like incredible replicas of hasbros, down to the shine. Not my pic:

I got my Rougeaus today, and damn, they are awesome. Not the greatest shipping method (oversized box, figures wrapped in bubble wrap), which resulted in one of the corners of the card being fairly damaged, but I am definitely pleased with my first order from Mitch. They really do look like legit Hasbros.

this is a rare case where the protos looked so bad I never gave it another thought, and the final version has me feeling some real FOMO

The Rogueaus figures look really good but I personally have no connection to them which is kind of my rule now. It was hard to pass on these but with soooo much good stuff coming from Mitch and the other companies, I’m trying to be more selective. I did however order the British Bulldog 97 but I have not yet received my shipping notification. It must be because Mitch plans to hand deliver it to my home which I appreciate that level of respect and dedication. There can be no other reason, right?

Not my pic: They're still available on Rock and Roll Collectables, if you're UK based. I'm thinking about grabbing them at some point, although they're a bit pricey.

I'm super excited for the Jean-Pierre LaFitte tease he dropped yesterday. Getting my Rougeaus has me all in on getting select guys from Mitch. I have only purchased Double J from Zombie and only found it to be just okay. Mitch is making Hasbros, and I am excited to see what he can do going forward. Someone find Chris Champion's estate so I can get Yoshi Kwan, please!

I'm personally hoping that there's a Dangerous Dan Spivey, blonde mullet era, on the cards in one of the Galoob style lines.

this is a rare case where the protos looked so bad I never gave it another thought, and the final version has me feeling some real FOMO same here, the Rougeaus actually look good (not great as Jacques' face could be better but they're actually good to see them out of the packaging and see that shine
now......
imagine how many more he'd have sold if he'd have actually put his money into manufacturing one of these figures and using that as the "preorder" hype - being able to see what the final production run figure would look like would INSTANTLY help boost his sales from those of us who are not prepared to buy a figure based on concept art, and then be let down by the finished product.
if G+G did just one thing to improve their process (actually get their PR campaign in order so the reveal artwork and the prototype look like the finished product every time!!) then people would be more willing to invest at the order stage, not the secondary market where he gets zero return on those sales

He seems to be doing fine?

Mitch said that only some of the boxes came in, others are pending clearance in customs. He said when they come in by freight the whole order lands at once but by air they can get held up for whatever reason.

(Only kidding; I look forward to the figure but I am in no rush with other things I have going on).

Are the Rogeaus not still available?!?! I held off on buying the Quebckers because I wanted these instead -- and thought they'd be similarly available!
