Gorilla Monsoon didn’t have an LJN and wasn't planned for their lost final wave. So he doesn’t fit their (current) “rules” for this line. It would be more likely in the Legends, Greatest Hits, or just Elites, I would think. I think they’re going to break those rules sooner rather than later unless they start getting some missing anchor talents under contract. I’m buying every set regardless of who’s in it, but people who are picking and choosing are likely going to stop after the next 2-3 waves unless they get more big LJN names signed. That depends on how deep they consider their “anchors.” Iron Sheik, DiBiase, Honky, Andre in 2 looks, Hogan in yellow, and Warrior could all still “anchor” waves potentially with people like Studd, Bigelow, Beefcake, Valentine, Volkoff, Bossman, and the multiple non-wrestlers they have available. |

I'd vote for the powder blue tights as well, I believe they had two different versions, but I would imagine they would do the red tights to match the original LJN figures. Though, they've gone away from that on a few figures, so who knows...  |

Any of these would be great: Andre (babyface) / John Studd Andre (Heel) / Bobby Heenan or Bam Bam Bigelow Ultimate Warrior / Honky Tonk Man or Hercules if he were signed Iron Sheik / Nikolai Volkoff or Classy Freddie Blassie Junkyard Dog / King Harley Race Brutus Beefcake / Greg Valentine (Dream Team) Hulk Hogan (Red and Yellow) / Mr. Wonderful or Big Boss Man Ricky Steamboat / Magnificent Muraco Randy Savage (if signed) / Million Dollar Man I would also take: Hillbilly Jim / King Kong Bundy These guys are underrepresented and haven't been in the line in what, more than 10 years? Thanks Besides the list of missing characters we all have, my biggest wants from Mattel at this point would be to increase frequency of Coliseum Collection releases, start an LJN form-factor line (mirroring Big Rubber Guys with legends they have available), and Hulk Hogan’s Rock n Wrestling animated collection line. I’d love to “prophesize” that at least one of these happens this year. But honestly, that feels more like a “five year plan” to me. |
