Has anyone ever had an issue building any of these? I just got a new set of the Elite WM 38s, and the left arm of Vince absolutely will not lock into the torso. Do I just have bad luck or are BAFs generally hit or miss?

The arms lately have been loose fitting. I try to apply heavy pressure to pop them in a tight as possible, pose it how I like it, and never touch it again.

I think Howard Finkel is the only build a fig I’ve ever owned and it’s fine

I havent tried to build and entire figure in a while. I did have an issue with BAF Heyman back in '13/'14. Same issue, the arm just didnt want to click.
I would call it bad luck, happens but don't hear about it often.

I don't know if it's a thing with the same type of arm joint or not but I've had a couple of my UE figures that the arms won't stay in place at ALL. They just pop right off if you try and move them. Gooker is the most recent like this. I don't know if they use the same pins on BAFs or not, I only have I think two completed BAFs and one is kid Dominink. But just my thoughts that it might be a more widespread problem than just the BAFs.

My BAF Paul Bearer has the same left arm issue. I don’t think it’s the right connector for the socket. It doesn’t click into place and so it constantly falls out.
However I have no problems with my Paul Ellering figure.

Do I just have bad luck or are BAFs generally hit or miss? Is it on the wrong side of the shoulder joint? There was one BAF where a bunch of the arms came assembled wrong and I’m pretty sure it was the WM38 Vince McMahon

Ellering for me the left arm is loose it just swings, the Virgil arms are are so stiff I felt they would snap. The Mean Gene BAF, the Raw ring Ultimate Kane, Ultimate Zeus and Legends Triple H the heads don’t sit on mines properly so I’ve had to put some blu-tack in the necks to hold them up. I’ve got quite a few figures there’s something wrong with them just luck I guess 😂

The right arm goes in and stays in, but pulls out with little to no effort. The left arm doesn’t even get that far.

I had issues with Michael Cole and Ellering. In both situations the arm hole in the torso was too wide and wouldn't lock in the arm.

This is an issue that is quite widespread.
I'm surprised no-one has mentioned Rick Rude because that was quite the talking point last year and mine certainly suffered the same issue.

Well that sucks. I ordered a second AJ to get a different Vince torso. I’m not confident it will work. So glad I ordered a whole set + an extra for a figure that won’t assemble, haha.

I haven’t collected the 6” scale lines since 2017, but there were always issues with Build a Figures. The first Ricardo Rodriguez had the hair piece misaligned on at least an entire batch. I also had issues with JR (arm wouldn’t attach) and either Corporate Kane or Johnny Ace (hand kept falling off).

just heat the shoulder joint up in the torso, it is hard plastic, once soft pop and done!
