So it has been reported that the smaller entrance used on Raw will be permanent on weekly shows going forward which will increase ticket sales and fill the arena more.
Now business ways it's a great idea and the smaller entrance is kind of old school, but I'm not sure how I feel. The modern, LED entrance stage is something I've never been a fan of, but over the years I have always felt that the huge stage, titantron and ramp gave the shows an epic feel to them.
If this is going to be the way forward I hope they make the Raw & Smackdowns entrances different.

I like the big, grand presentation WWE has. I hope they don't do away with pyro and all that good stuff just because they have hit a hot streak.

Absolutely love this decision. Leave the stages for PLE's to make them seem more grander. Too many times we look at a big event and say "its like we were just watching RAW/SD"

The initial report was Hunter saying they’ll use the smaller stage when ticket sales call for it.

I wouldn't see this as a permanent thing. The smaller set works in small doses to really show how much fans are in the arena but when its a weekly thing, it reduces how grand the overall presentation is. Look at how they had to wheel out the TVs on the recent Raw like you were back in class. Its similar to when Raw and Smackdown had massive sets from the 2010s onwards until the recent single screen.
Ideally I'd go with the recent set they used in Chicago where the screen was only about half the height. Still able to pack fans in while keeping a proper stage.

I absolutely loved the setup they used this past Monday. Don’t need a giant tron for weekly shows. Fit as many people into the building as you can.

I miss that short but glorious time when Raw and Smackdown had distinctive, separate sets.
And then 2020 went and wrecked all of it.

I'm all for it. And I'm sure the people who set up everything are happy! It'll take less time.

Dislike. Was watching Raw 2005 and god, that set up was so good. So was Smackdown.
The stages are what create the atmosphere of the shows. Doing away with that kills the aura that these shows are supposed to have.
For a guy who has such an elaborate and long entrance, a pure showman, it’s so bizarre that he doesn’t want the stages he once basked in the glory of coming out on

From 1999 both shows had their own identity and the entrance stage made the show's feel larger than life events. I haven't been a fan of the LED stage, but they were still cool during the entrances. Little off topic but the white ropes don't help either. I don't know what the companies obsession with them is.

Too many times we look at a big event and say "its like we were just watching RAW/SD" The only thing is that PLE's are the shows that sell the most tickets. So I don't think they'll choose a big stage over way more higher-priced PPV tickets. Look at the international shows - most have been very small stages to accommodate more fans/sales (Puerto Rico, Clash at the Castle, etc.). Even domestic PPV's will surely favor more tickets. It both makes the company more money and saves them even more.

To the people saying they hate this, OK, yeah, I get that you hate losing the "biggness" feel of the massive stage.
But, the stage. Was a screen.
That's all it was. There was no actual set and hadn't been for a very long time. It was just an oversized screen set up that people walked out of. Not saying what they did tonight was any fancier but the idea that what they had going on for the past 3 years or so even constitutes an actual "stage" is pretty silly.
The giant Smackdown fist? THAT was a stage.
BigGiantScreen that half the time they obscure with augmented reality anyway? That's not a stage. It has no character to it.
