Thank God I made a custom WM39 KO using the Elite 101 KO last year. Scales a lot better, has the missing logos and hand tattoo, and all the new UE heads fit on that figure so it’s just about perfect. If y’all got a spare E101 KO and know how to apply decals, I’d recommend doing the same.

I had to check if it was April 1st. That figure is incredibly bad. The shoulder, the height, the tats, the skin … it’s so bad I can’t stop laughing 😆

What does the issue seem to be, is it the legs? I was hoping to possibly use that torso and a fabric shirt for a UE Cactus Jack. I think it's the torso. Legs themselves look to be a similar or same as he always uses. Could be the crotch too with the drop down hip pegs being further "up" than they are on elites. I don't think it's that bad. To me, Sami looks probably taller than he is and I'd peg Owens at a shoot 5'10ish. Mattel's scale has been out of whack for years though so this is nothing new to me. I'm surprised this is the figure that has people up in arms when there's been more egregious examples through the years. I'd be more interested in seeing how he stacks up next to Balor. If he's shorter than Finn then it's a mess up. If he's the same height then it's fine and Sami is too tall. Rey is a bad comparison considering almost all of his figures are too tall. Just another reason I stay away from ultimates unless it's for the heads and accessories. Otherwise I convert them to elite quick. |

At the end of the day, KO was definitely phoned in.
I was excited for these, because I don't have any KO or Sami elites as I just want ultimates and keep elites reserved for legends.
That being said, if you don't have the tooling, or the budget for tooling is on the other figure (Cody) why go out so far and plan certain figures if you cannot provide a proper release? Clearly KO was not ready to be released. He either should have moved to the next series or both Sami and KO move up, and can have 2 repaints to accommodate the extra tooling fo Cody.
Elites can look better than Ultimates, but they shouldn't BE better than the ultimates.

I don't think Mattel would make new versions of Owens legs for the ultimate and not hide the pins like they did with Roman. It's a shame they are dead set on the butterfly joints because by original Ultimate standards the only things his elites are missing are the toe joints and a cloth shirt. |

problem is pants Sami has large boots whilst his normal elites have medium boots, just swap that!
but, I will remind everyone that Ultimate Edition is out of scale.

It’s based on the video game WWE 2k24 where half the wrestlers look normal and half the wrestlers look tiny, but will magically grow standing on the apron. John Cena and Ken Shamrock look almost as tall as Rey Mysterio in that game. It’s been an issue for a few games now.
