If there's one item every Walmart consistently has in stock around me, it's the Maivia Legacy 3-Pack.
The funny thing is, ever since it came out, it seems to have the exact same number in stock as it did on day one.
Like literally no one is buying it. At $70, I can see why. Not to mention most of the kids have no idea who two of them are.
Is this the worst selling 3-Pack ever? How wasn't this predictable by Mattel/Walmart? Does it look like this near you as well?

it's a $70 pack, yes, so it's going to take the right buyers, but people are snatching them up. a little soon to be calling it the worst thing ever.

It isn't going anywhere around us. I've been to more wal marts than I'd care to admit stalking Monday night wars elites series 2 unsuccessfully. And I've seen at least 3 at each and every one.
Growing up at the peak of wrestlemania early events, rocky Johnson was before my time and Peter maivia was certainly before my time. I have not wanted either at any time. And I wouldn't even really want a Hawaiian shirt Rock. I can't imagine this being that attractive to most fans.

I also spent the better part of the last month stalking Walmarts looking for MNW Series 2 (still haven't found any trace of it)... The Maivia sets appear to be multiplying..... some went from 4 to 6.... some went from 4 to 8..... Which again validates my theory that Walmart isn't using any sort of "inventory system" when sending new figures. They just send stuff at random. I've seen several stores that didn't sell a single Maivia set and get a restock. Yet Monday Night Wars & Elite slots sit empty for months and months. |

I’d love The Rock from the set, but as a non US collector it’s far too expensive to import etc just for that Rock.

My two closest stores restocked it three times now. Now it’s slowly moving at those two stores, but I think it’s 4 per case so between the two area stores they sold 16 sets. That’s not bad for a $70 item without the holidays helping it sell.

It doesn't seem like they're moving too well in my area. Honestly I'd have bought one by now if it weren't for the rock, drop that figure and make it 50 bucks and I'm sold. But since it's too late for that im waiting for it to dip and if it doesn't dip im gonna hold out for solo releases of Maivia and Johnson

I picked it up the other day because why not and I am very pleased with it. The Rock might be my favorite of his in my collection, The High Chief looks great on the shelf, and Rocky Johnson even as a weak link is still a very nice figure.

3 pks and 4 pks never sale at retail. Everyone that Mattel has produced has been heavily reduced.

That is an incredible niche 3-pack for a very small target demo, produced in enough numbers to fill a hanger at every Walmart in the U.S. And it’s $70. That’s a weird 3-pack to make. It ain’t exactly Bash at the Beach Team WCW or The Shield.

Not moving in my area at all. There are 2, maybe 3 hardcore collectors in my area - none of these have sold (mine came from the .com preorder). I was happy to get the set - both High Chief and Rocky were needed as openers - but beyond that, maybe I will get a set when it is heavily clearanced in August or so when they prep for the holiday season.

What is even funnier for me, when this Maivia 3 pack was first mentioned, sooooo many on these here boards were already scrambling for the next legacy/family 3 pack and a vast majority at that were the Steiners.
If this Maivia with The Rock 3 pack won't move, then certainly your precious Steiners won't.
