ROH does provide what i want in a wrestling company. Hard hitting action coupled with the lucha style and strong style that I always wanted out of ECW and FMW. At the same time, they have emphasized the luca style less but that is until we finally get a difinitive war of the Vulture Squad and possibly a return of wrestlers similar to Special K.

IWA. Whatever mood im in IWA has a match for it. Do I want to watch deathmatches? OK I can with IWA. Maybe I want to watch some pure wrestling, alright I can do that too.

I started to recognize WWE, TNA, and ROH as the new "Big 3" around 2 or 3 years ago. Do you want a cookie for it? I would like to hear what your definition of an "Indy" is. All "Indy" is is an abbreviation for an independent promotion. An approporiate definition for"Independent" in this case is " Not dependent on or affiliated with a larger or controlling entity" (courtesy dictionary.com), as such, TNA is owned by Panda Energy, which is considered a larger entity. All that the status of being an "independent" promotion boils down to is ownership. ROH is technically owned by Ring of Honor Wrestling LLC. LLC, standing for legally liscensed corporation. Cary just happens to own the LLC. It's not independent when owned by a larger company. If it's owned by one person (or in the case of PWG, multiple people who all have an equal share of power) not answering to any higher parent company in a place of authority, I consider that independent. ROH, while being a higher calibur promotion, I still consider an indy. Yes, they have PPV, yes, they have contracted talent, but it is still owned by one person. It sounds like you have all sorts of connotations placed on the word "indy", like random guys wrestling for little money, draws of under 100 people, and the only exposure being live shows, and low budgety DVDs, but, once again, all "indy" is is an abbrevation for independent. ROH is independent from any larger parent organization. As someone who has worked for indy promotions and been a fan of indy wrestling since 2000, I can assure you that the only three companies in the USA not considered indies by people who work in the business, not some mark on a message board. On top of that, CZW, IWA MS, IWA EC, IWA DS, PWG, CHIKARA, etc. are all indy promotions. They happen to be part of the upper tier of indy promotions. There are different levels to the indies. ROH is no longer a part of that class.
