Any bodybuilders here? Quite random i know, but it's something i've always been curious about.
I thought eating raw eggs has risks of contracting food poisoning, so why don't they cook them?

Raw eggs are one of the best sources of protein or something.

You really shouldn't even be eating raw eggs. You know how badly sick you could get from eating it?
if you want protein just eat egg whites

i think most of you guys are misunderstanding my question. I know eggs are a good source of protein, but why do they eat them RAW? instead of cooking them first?

Because there better protein RAW than cooked. oh right. how's that work then? The heating of the egg destroys many of the nutrients and proteins found inside the egg. You would have been best off just typing raw egg into google and you would have got your answer.

It's a stereotype, really. I would venture a guess that very few bodybuilders actually do that. Most of them are conscious about their body and realize that eating raw eggs could make them very sick, so they don't do it.

I prefer egg whites, and have never downed a raw egg, nor do I plan to. Its supposed to have more protein that way, but it, I'm not getting myself sick.
