Well me and my family were driving home and we saw this cop booking a guy looked about 18 for riding his bike on the pavement/side walk.
I saw this and i just thought, "What the heck?".
My family thought because it was the new year he wanted his first booking or something.
Any of you seen stuff life this? or had a experience like it?
EDIT: The cop actually left his car half on the road so it caused abit of a traffic jam.
EDIT AGAIN: When we saw it the guy riding his bike then the cop stopped him.

You don't know what the cop was arresting him for. Hell, he could have gotten up to him and the guy could have been causing an arguement, or something, you never know.

That's not an arrestable offense though. I am a little confused though. You seem to be complaining about the cop arresting that guy, so how is he "tight"?

I never said he arrested him. I mean it was a guy 18 maybe riding on a path with no pedestrians on it so the cop stops him. then the cops car is partially still in the road and causes a slight traffic jam.
I have road on the path loads and cops gone past and not bothered. So why pick on this guy in perticullar.

Well, it is actually illegal, to ride bicycles on side walks. However it is just one of the rarely enforced laws.

Sidewalks are only for walking pedestrians. If you have ever ridden past a cop on a side walk on your bike, the cop probably didn't feel like messing with it. But I still don't understand how you could say that the cop is "tight". I'm not one for ebonics, but I'm pretty sure that "tight" is a good thing.

While it is illegal to ride a bike on a sidewalk, it's not an arrestable offense (to my knowledge) and it's a very rarely enforced law. There are fifty bazillion things the guy could've been arrested for. Maybe he had a warrant and the cop recognized him, or he was a suspect in some sort of a fight in the area. Maybe he was just being an ass when the cop stopped him. Maybe he was someone who ran from the cops earlier.
