I quit yesterday, I am going crazy today. It is so hard, the only thing that helped me was lolipops.

My mom tried, she lasted for a month and then started smoking again.
A co-worker is starting to quit, in memory of her mom.
I wish you both the best of luck.

I honestly feel like I could just stop at any time. I go for days, even weeks sometimes until i just get bored and decide to have one. I don't know why people bitch and say it's so hard. Just stop. I've been smoking for about 3 years, and i'm just not "addicted".

Chantrex is the pill that supposedly helps you quit, but you have to do it completely right and can't go off schedule or anything. It also gives you vivid dreams, much like sleeping with a patch on.
I've never been a cigarette smoker, so I haven't had to deal with quitting. My cousin who smoked from about age 12-22, quit just like that. I think he might've chewed skoal for awhile, or maybe the gum, but he stopped that right away too. He's 30 now and while he has one other vice, he doesn't smoke cigarettes ever.
His mother, a smoker of 40+ years, also quit right away.
My mom, on the other hand, a smoker of 40+ years as well, and his mom's sister, struggles to quit once a month. She's always trying something new, and has tried Chantrex as well.
I think it just depends on the type of person you are and your type of personality. Some people can give it up like that. Others it's harder. It also helps if there's other things to focus on I guess while you're trying to quit smoking.
Good luck though, hopefully you'll be able to stop.
I guess it just depends on the type

If I really had strong motivation I'd quit pretty easily, I'm only a casual smoker as it is.

Quiting isn't the thing to question. It is why the hell would you start in the first place?

k
on the topic of smoking, my friend smokes or smoked not sure because he said he'd quit but I saw him smoking and he claimed it was a special cigarette to help quit smoking, I knew it was bs but it was his life so I wasn't too bothered.

Well, good for you for quitting. I hope you achieve this. As other people have said take it one day at a time. Remember just take it slowly. Good Luck to you!!

I love smoking. idk why. I have no reason not to. I'm going to die anyways, and Id truly rather get off this planet sooner than later without having to put my family through the pain of suicide.

My Mom quit smoking last December after having the nasty habit for 30 + years. She went cold turkey. She is not using any nicorrette or any other aide. Just using lollipops to keep herself occupied. She is still around smokers and yet she is able to control herself. Yeah momma bear!

I was talking to my father who smoked for over 20 years and quit two years ago. He said the secret is to keep your hand occupied. Keep a pen in it and twirl it around, even put it up to your mouth and pretend to smoke. He said you will look a little dumb, but it kills cravings and will let your survive for three days.
