Hopefully he makes it until then. I'm not a huge fan of quick title changes. Look how many people are on here complaining and demanding he lose the belt. Such a response from fans would never happen if belts changed hands every 2 months. We only feel this way cause Cena sucks. Now if someone who could actually wrestle held the belt, it would be very different.

Seeing as we know Cena won't be losing the belt anytime soon, I'm all for the same idea I proposed back when JBL was champion. Have Cena hold the title right up until the last minute. About a month from now, start heavily promoting the fact that Cena could potentially be the first man to hold the championship for a year in 20 years or so. Throughout August, the pressure could slowly start to morph Cena and we might see a little bit of a change in attitude. At Unforgiven, supposedly his last title defense before hitting the year mark, Cena retains yet again, allowing him to finally let his guard down. The next night on Raw, Cena is forced to defend the title again, and this time, loses it. Cena falls short of a year by less than 24 hours. The loss drives him mad, and results in a monster heel turn. That is way too awesome for the WWE to do. =)

This is good but it would have to be in a match where he loses the title to a face without getting pinned for it like a triple threat or fatal 4 way and then he goes nuts and beats the crapout of said person.

Just interfering in everybodys matches, and destroying people. That'd be cool On topic, I would like to see him lose, but I don't think he will

He's not going to have the belt for that long, Orton is taking it at Summerslam. plz plz plz I believe that's what will happen as well. Either that or WWE might try and surprise everyone and give Lashley the belt at The Great American Bash and then give him a short reign until SummerSlam and then Orton gets it. Either way, Orton will get the belt at SummerSlam. That's pretty much guaranteed.

It'll be shitty either way if they give it to Bobby Lashley or Randy Orton

That would be incredible. He deserves a one or two year reign. More like one or two decades. Cena is a champion's champion, a classic grappler; I don't understand what deluded mindset someone would have to have to think otherwise. Man, that could definately work. 20 years as champ, he would crush Brunno's record.

Have him lose it at Unforgiven so he just comes up short, which is on September 16th. Better yet, have him lose it on the RAW the night after

If Cena holds on to the WWE Title through September 18 (which wasn't the plan originally) Anyone know what the original plan was? HBK or Kennedy getting the gold?

I think he will surpass the year, he isn't going to drop it anytime soon.

Interesting fact regarding John Cena's reign as WWE Champion. If Cena holds on to the WWE Title through September 18 (which wasn't the plan originally), he would be the first world champion in company history to go 365 days since Randy Savage in the 1980s. Source: wrestlingexposed.com Great Hey...Cena deserves his job over Carlito... And it'd be great if he had a 1 year title reign. He's definitely good enough to hold it for that long...or longer.

I still don't understand what the big internet fuss is about Cena. The guy is a fantastic worker. Hell, he's been in MOTYC all year. I remember when Austin was big too, and people started to complain how stale he was. Then people hated The Rock when he was popular. Then people hated Triple H (justified). The fans ALWAYS crapon what the WWE is doing, but guess what? Most of the people that claim to hate the man so much still buy PPV's, still attend live events, still buy action figures and merchandise, and they continue to fuel the WWE machine. If you really hate Cena so much, QUIT ING WATCHING. It's "cool" to hate whatever is popular at the moment, especialy with the internet crowd.

crapOrton won't be winning that belt. I can see it going to Kennedy or maybe Lashley, but that's about it right now.
