I never giveaway anything in the title If you guessed Randy Orton, you were wrong. If you guessed Stone Cold Steve Austin, you were also....absolutely correct ! [/Regis Philbin] But seriously : Several WWE Superstars Upset With Steve Austin Date Added: September 05, 2007 Story By: Ryan Gray Source- Wrestling Observer Newsletter Steve Austin gave a speech to WWE talent at SummerSlam that rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. Austin's three main points were that the talent dressed like slobs in public and they need to dress and carry themselves like professionals. He went on to say that the company has no superstars and it's time for someone to step up. Austin told the story of how he came up with his own gimmick and became a top guy. One wrestler noted that Austin was out of touch with what the current wrestlers are making (salary wise) and what the current conditions are. Some were also shocked that Austin has became a puppet for McMahon. Some guys feel that Austin was acting the way he was because he is dealing with the guilt of his movie flopping.

well, it's kinda true about not having any "REAL" superstars. i guess the closest they have would be triple h or cena, but they aren't anywhere near where austin & the rock used to be.

I still think if they let Punk do it he could get really big. He's extremely entertaining on the mic, let him use it over Morrison. He's right someone does need to step up, but they cant if Vince wont let them.

He's only making a point to be honest, but the WWE have to try and make the best out of what they've got.

He went on to say that the company has no superstars and it's time for someone to step up. May I suggest WWE's management and booking team? Really, their are no 'superstars' because their is no build for anything or anybody in today's WWE. 'Feuds' are a series of formulaic matches and in-ring confrontation's we've seen a million times before. Creative promos and character build up have taken a backseat to "in the moment" antics that add nothing to the overall product. Oh yeah, not to mention the average talent-level of WWE's roster is depressing... made interesting only by aging MNW veterans and a handful of up-and-comers like CM Punk, MVP, Morrison and Burke.

Austin is right. WWE has no real stars. Not even Cena imo. However, unfortunately I don't doubt that Cena will be perceived on the level of such stars as he's forced down our throats more and more.
I'd LOVE for them to push Punk as 'the' guy. He has so much potential and marketing ability. His gimmick is interesting, much more interesting then such people at the moment as Cena, Batista and Bobby Lashley. They need to broaden their views on some stars and use new, fresh potential main eventers such as Punk, Umaga, MVP, Cor Von, Dreamer etc.

Austin Would Beat any WWE Wrestler in the roster Hands down easily the only ones he would have a trouble with are Triple H Undertaker.

What did he say that was so offensive? The talent in the business today is extremely lazy and they don't have the same work ethic wrestlers did have back when the WWE was in its prime. What Austin said is entirely true.

Austin Would Beat any WWE Wrestler in the roster Hands down easily the only ones he would have a trouble with are Triple H Undertaker. Stone Cold would not beat everybody on the roster!!!! He might beat a lot of them but Batista can beat him i think and The Great Khali can in my opinion. You will probably never no if he could beat anybody on the roster.

Yes - Punk could be a massive superstar given the chance... but Vince won't ever grant a former indy guy like Punk, a monumental push, over worthless turds like Orton and Lashley...

Orton really knows how wrestle compared to punk . randy orton learned from his dad & learned how to do it the right way , the old school way . bboy lashley can really out wrestle cm punk anytime because bobby lashley is a real wrestler & any real wrestler can beat a pro-wrestler.

Times change, wrestling is no different. Punk is 10x the wrestler Orton is, even in the WWE. I mean, you might like 50 varied rest holds in a World title match, but at least Punk is exciting and puts on a great new match every night. 'Old school' has nothing to do with Orton being a piece of crap.
