If you don't think Chris Benoit should be in the Hall of Fame, you're not a wrestling fan. Oh, I definitely thought he should've been in the WWE Hall of Fame for sure. But that was before he murdered his wife & kid. I'm sorry, but no matter how long he wrestled for or how many spectacular matches he put on will ever erase the fact that he brutally murdered his wife and 7 year old son and then hung himself. And how some of you can still feel remorse is beyond me. You have that maniac in your sigs saying "R.I.P., The Best Ever, and I'll Miss You" and all that crap. Do you share the same feelings towards other psycho killers like John Wayne Gacy, Ted Bundy and Jeffery Dahmer?? Murder is murder, no matter how you ing slice it. When people start feeling sorry for a guy that murdered his own kid, then I know the world has gone to hell. One act isn't going to ruin the years and years of entertainment he's provided me.

^ How you can even look at him the same way is beyond me. And by the way, it would be 2 acts of murder that he carried out, not one act. Man, some people are just in serious denial....
I don't ever want to see that psycho again. I think I'll puke if I see another Benoit match just knowing what he did.

Unless some how he is proven innocent, then there is no way. It'd be like WWE putting the Ultimate Warrior in the HoF I don't see how the two are the same, unless you consider Warrior murdered HTM's International title reign. Oh and I'm one of the few fans who can seperate Benoit's wrestling legacy from his actions, regardless of how seriously hard it's to do. But yeah, I don't see this as the same situation with Eddie. I'd see Flair or HBK going in before him, and Benoit will be a hard-sell, sort of like the Sheik where the McMahons, and other higher-ups will hear the suggestions and give every reason not to all though his work hopefully in the ring will cement his legacy in it regardless.

Not anytime soon, especially with the way they are handling merchandise, television, etc.
I could see them inducting him several years down the road, and simply making no mention of the murders.

If you do think Chris Benoit should be in the hall of fame, you're a lousy human being... just like he was. There are more important things in life than Wrestling.

Just because people enjoyed his matches, and enjoyed his character in wrestling does not make them a lousy human being. Yes, there are more important things in life than wrestling...so move on from this whole Benoit thing. It's not really getting anyone anywhere. He has earned a spot in the hall of fame based on his in-ring work, but based on his actions he will probably never get it. - Vertan

I just tell you bud to keep your thoughts to those that will respect them. I don't expect people to be totally oblivious to what happened, but a sig like "Hell just got a new mid-carder" that's wrong on so many levels. You know, I'm kind of happy people are so extreme in response to this. Because the only people that should have ever wanted him in the hall of fame are the ones that can seperate what he did in the ring from what he did this past weekend. Is what I'm saying the same as if Benoit didn't kill himself, was let off the hook, and wrestled somewhere else? NO. What I'm saying is, I never was given the idea Benoit would do what he did. So I can't respect that, but how that would change what he did in the ring. it just doesn't make sense. So yeah, opinions are mout points really right now.

I respected the hell out of Chris Benoit in life, he entertained me, and put on a hell of a show. I regarded him as one of my recent favorites. I think thats why it pains me to know exactly what he did. I personally feel betrayed in a way by the man. I spent time in my life cheering for him, and taking time out of my days to watch him perform. Now I feel as if I supported one of the biggest lowlifes ever. People are talking about keeping Barry Bonds out of the Baseball hall of fame for alleged Steroid use. The only thing Barry Bonds is hurting by doing steroids is himself, and some may argue "the integrity of the game." Chris Benoit MURDERED TWO INNOCENT HUMAN BEINGS. He took the lives away from two other people, including his very own son. The WWE Hall of Fame is a platform to celebrate the lives and careers of past performers. Tell me... should a criminal be celebrated? Regardless of how great his wrestling career was- and it was, he was a pleasure to watch in WWE, WCW, and ECW as well as Japan. It has all been rendered meaningless by this gruesome, disgusting act. If Brett Favre decided to go on a killing spree tomorrow, should the NFL put him in the Hall Of Fame? Probably not, right? But stats dictate that he is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time!

Brett Favre doesn't kill people. He's too busy fishing and throwing footballs across large bodies of water during his spare time.

Chris Benoit is easily the worst thing to ever happen to professional wrestling, the repercussions of his disgusting and cowardly act have just begun.
Chris Benoit was the poster child for what wrestling is. Then he showed that he is a horrible human being in the most foul way a person could. He has equated the best pro wrestling had to offer with the worst humankind has to offer.
Pro Wrestling made Benoit what he was, and now it is time for pro wrestling to unmake him.
Chris Benoit, Wife beater, steroid addict, murderer, childkiller, these are the things he did for real in his life, everything else was just scripted.

Brett Favre doesn't kill people. He's too busy fishing and throwing footballs across large bodies of water during his spare time. True, but its the first NFL player who came to mind... Its to put things in context... if Derek Jeter beat his lover of the week to death with a baseball bat, should the Yankees retire his number? NO!? Why not, stats dictate he is one of the greatest Yankees of all time!!! If the WWE has any class they will treat the scenario as they have been doing(for the most part) since Tuesday- erasing Chris Benoit from our memories.

The WWE cannot and will not put Benoit into the Hall of Fame. Its just bad taste, I dont care that he was the best of all time, it doesnt matter, once Benoit committed these acts, he lost and willing gave up his legacy. End of thread, he will not ever EVER be in it, EVER.

If he gets inducted will they introduce him as "the murderer" chris benoit and have oj do the induction speech. You guys are out of your minds if you think he belongs anywhere near the hall of fame. Personal problems or not what he did is unforgivable and that only god can judge him arguement is lame cause god didnt step in when that sob was suffocating his son. As a fan of the wwe i can only pray that vince keeps benoits name as far away as possible from the wwe's.
