Chris Benoit is easily the worst thing to ever happen to professional wrestling, the repercussions of his disgusting and cowardly act have just begun. Chris Benoit was the poster child for what wrestling is. Then he showed that he is a horrible human being in the most foul way a person could. He has equated the best pro wrestling had to offer with the worst humankind has to offer. Pro Wrestling made Benoit what he was, and now it is time for pro wrestling to unmake him. Chris Benoit, Wife beater, steroid addict, murderer, childkiller, these are the things he did for real in his life, everything else was just scripted. dude that is the most perfect response to this i have ever heard i keep getting mad and posting and what you said is 100% correct thank you for saying this and to every one else you should read this before you try to continue to support benoit

Well....Jimmy Snuka is in the Hall of Fame....and apparently he murdered someone...so...
I don't feel what Benoit did should be celebrated in any way....but his in ring accomplishments should be honored in some way.

The bottom-line though is no matter the argument it was the seven year old boy. The sad thing is though, everyone is drawing the line at double murder/suicide and not continuing to follow a man they supposedly were a fan of. See other stuff has come out like fragile x disorder, which unless you have or have somebody in your family with that or autism, you really can't speak on unless you know more than what you can google up.

If you do think Chris Benoit should be in the hall of fame, you're a lousy human being... just like he was. There are more important things in life than Wrestling. That's not your place to say. If someone does have the opinion that Benoit's career should be seperate from his private life, then that doesn't make you a "lousy human being" at all, and to say that shows a lack of taste on your part. For the record, I don't know how I feel about it. I don't even want to THINK about Benoit's career in light of this horrific tragedy. I just refuse to judge those who do . . . .

Yes because we all love to kill in our "private life" don't we. There is nothing better I like to do in my spare time than kill and expect it to have no effect on honours or work.

being a great wrestler. Seriously. Whenever someone hears the name "Chris Benoit", they're going to think murderer, and that overshadows anything you may have accomplished in your lifetime. Everything gets erased because that is a huge, huge deal.

I can't believe 73 people voted for yes. There's something seriously wrong there.

The sad thing is though, everyone is drawing the line at double murder/suicide and not continuing to follow a man they supposedly were a fan of. Not supposedly. We WERE a fan. That was, until he went and killed his wife and seven-year-old son. That changes everything. Maybe some people aren't getting the jist of it. If anyone here were closer to Fayettevile or wherever Benoit's home was, this tragedy would hit much harder and it would snap in a lot of people's mind that this guy was a terrible human being. The fact that he wrestled other guys and is a former World Champion shouldn't even matter. I completely understand that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but jeez, the guy killed his family. If that doesn't change someone's opinion on someone, then I don't know what will. He was a bad person. Eddie ing Guerrero wouldn't even want to be best friends with Chris Benoit after this. EDIT: Should he get erased from the history books? No. Not at all. But should he be HONORED for his accomplishments. Absolutely not. No one wants to acknowledge him and I completely understand.

If he didn't muder his family then I would easily say he deserves to be in the HOF. After what he did he certainly doesn't deserve to be in the HOF. Not to mention that WWE would look really stupid for inducting someone that's a murderer.

They will put him in the murderer and baby killer wing of the HOF. If he ever goes into the HOF that is the day I will forever stop watching WWE.

No. He doesn't deserves it. He obviously stopped caring about his wrestling career when he took the life of his wife and son and so should we.
