New TNA Women's Champion Gail Kim was interviewed yesterday by "F4W" and had a lot to say about TNA's new women's division as well as Amazing Kong's "wardrobe malfunction" at Bound For Glory.
- Gail was asked when TNA decided to get serious about the Women's Division. She said, "when I started with the company, and they called me to offer me a contract, they said, “We want to build a women’s divison, but it’s not going to happen overnight”. And, I said, “Okay”. And, kind of a year had passed, a year and a half passed, and I said, “Guys, I want to wrestle"
- Gail was promised that when iMPACT! expanded to 2 hours, the Women's Division would get a big push. So far so good.
- Kim said she heard the wardrobe malfunction was not visible on TV, which it clearly was. She put over Amazing Kong as a great competitor and a real threat to her new TNA Women's title
- Gail talked about the differences between the WWE and TNA Women's Divisions. She said the WWE girls are "cookie cutter" while TNA has women of all shapes, sizes and nationalities.

Umm..how does that make any sense? WWE's division isn't cookie cutter..but I guess to her Melina, Candice, & Beth Phoenix( the last 3 champs) all look the same..

Umm..how does that make any sense? WWE's division isn't cookie cutter..but I guess to her Melina, Candice, & Beth Phoenix( the last 3 champs) all look the same.. She means there all skinny model types. |

They didn't come in because they was "hot" or because they use to be models. The only women in TNA that wasn't wrestlers before TNA signed them are Leticia & Crystal who aren't wresters but interviewers.. |

I would like to take objection to Gails comments. While I agree the WWE womens division isn't as good as it has been, and their is a lot of fat that needs to be trimmed, TNAs isn't much better than the WWEs.
Amazing Kong = Beth Phoenix
Gail Kim = Mickie James
Roxxi LeVeaux (she sucks!) = Torrie Wilson
Jacqueline = Jillian
Talia = Melina
ODB = Victoria
Christy = Maria
Ms. Brooks = Candice
Shelly = skank who will do anything for attention/money with supposed wrestling abilities I have yet to see. Lent absolutely nothing to the WWE womans division while she was there.
I forgot the tenth knockout, but do you really need 10 in the chase anyways? I think its moreso the fact that the divas are on 2 different shows and the booking is terrible on both of them. If all the divas were on the same show it would be a lot better.

Yes. From what I've seen of Traci, she is on par with Candice. Until she starts showing me some more in the ring I'm sticking to it.
Gail Kim needs to just shut it and realize she is on the show with a 1.0 rating, and have respect for her fellow female wrestlers, even if they aren't fat, black or asian.

Did you SERIOUSLY just compare Traci Brooks to Candice? Moreover, did he seriously just compare Beth to Kong? Beth is good in the ring, but Amazing Kong she ain't. This guy sounds like the type to drool at the screen whenever Candice Michelle or Maria learn a new move. He probably didn't even watch TNA until they created the women's division. |
