I let my friend borrow my ladder match dvd to show his parents and they think its extremely fake.
they said that they added sound effects to the dvd to chair shots and other weapon shots.
they said that they loosened the hinges on the table so they would break easier. his mom said that if any of the wrestlers really got hit like in the matches, they would all be dead
is there anything i can do to convince them that wrestling is somewhat real?

i have a cousin, and his dad would tell him that people that think wrestling is real are stupid..and that its fake..and he would watch power rangers and star wars.."real stuff!" ..i hate that..

Now, I've been watching/attending for YEARS but I think it's a half and half ordeal with most people about "wrestling". With matches being predetermined, the "blade jobs" that few do in the ring, etc... You can't really change ones opinion on this subject once they've made up their mind (which sucks) But it takes a hell of a lot of balls/strength to do what these guys do each week/all year round and most people don't credit them enough for this. Your Best bet is to take them to a LIVE event like mentioned above and it could possibly alter their opinion somewhat or just a little.

I don't care if people think it's fake. Wrestling is fake with a whole lot of real aspects. My brother's friend who thinks wrestling is fake watch that ladder match between Jeff Hardy and Carlito from Raw XV and he was OOOing and AHHing through the whole thing.
It makes me feel good when I can convince someone it's real. And if I can't who cares. I like it, I think it's real
