When a Stranger Calls looks like its gonna be pretty weak. Not impressed by the trailer at all
Over at Rottentomatoes.com, Hostel is at a rating of 100%. Only 5 reviews so far and its gonna obviously go down, but for mainstream critics to be giving it that high of a rating as of now is pretty incredible. Horror movies generally get trashed. I've got really high hopes for this movie

I just watched Black Christmas. I didn't realize that it was made before When a Stranger Calls, yet gets no credit for originating the caller from inside the house idea. Very unnappreciated movie that laid the groundwork for a lot of later films

I love everything about it right down to the ending.

Pretty cool..can still pick it up on amazon. I have the 25th anniversary edition: My roommate's friend auditioned for the remake which is being directed by the guy that did the Willard remake and they told her she was too punk. And Crispin Glover isn't? But yeah, Black Christmas is Bob Clark's best Christmas movie....I love A Christmas Story, but I like Black Christmas better. And his movie Deathdream was bad ass. He used to be good....before he sold out.

But oh they will next year when a specialer edition DVD comes out for the remake.

I just saw Wolf Creek last night and..... it was very good IMO. It had some "HOLY ****" gore scenes, and what you dont see in every horror movie latley is the intelligence in the victims as they are running or trying to survive from the killer. The acting was good, not award winning but still good acting. There were alot of other teenagers there including me..but they wont shut up! Throughout the whole movie cell phones were going off and people would answer them and start having conversations and it was actually funny where people did get up and leave the theatre i dunno if it was because of the gore or what but they just got up and left half into the movie. Wolf Creek started really slow but once they arrived at Wolf Creek thats where the movie really goes fast. I would rate Wolf Creek 8.5/10. I thought it COULD have been more longer and they could have shown more of the "Head on a Stick" scene, which was gruesome enough but couldve shown more at least. But very good movie and if you like movies such as Texas Chainsaw Massacre, High Tension, or basically a fan of the violent/gore movies you would like Wolf Creek.. Oh yea, this morning i watched Masters of Horror John Carpenters "Cigarette Burns"...it was a very weird movie.

Hey, we don't get 'Masters Of Horror' over here. Is it good, because it sounded pretty lame when i read about it in Shivers?

So far the two Masters of Horror episodes I've seen were alright. I saw Argento's Jenifer and Coscarelli's...which I forget the name of. I dunno, it all seems a little forced...you can download the episodes pretty easily...

Masters of Horror is a good show..but some episodes were really "bizarre" and off the top just plain weird. The two best episodes ive seen so far are "Incident on and Off a Mountain Road" and "Cigarette Burns"

Not sure if it's the same in the US but here in the UK the 2 disk edition of Devils Rejects has a double sided cover. The one side is the bloody hand on a black background & the other side is called "the Last Supper" & has Spaulding, Otis, baby & maybe Tiny (can't remember) at a table which has body parts on it.
