Isn't today the day that this thread turns into the Halloween countdown thread? Sucka, I'm looking to you for some answers here! Ha! Thanks for the reminder. FEAR NOT. Consider it done Thanks, bro! I practically had it marked on the calendar this year. I remember last year coming on here September 1st and being like, "It's September 1st!!!! Someone change the title to the Halloween thread!" and you politely owning me and telling me I was wrong. Seriously though, where's Durden? It's his thread's Birthday! I went and signed my kids up for gymnastics tonight and on the way home I really got pumped for Halloween. It was dark by around 7:45 and only 55 degrees out. There was a nice cool wind and it just felt like there should be trick or treaters on my street. I'm having a really hard time not decorating right now. On a side note, I've seen two houses decorated already. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year!

Like I'm one to talk, I was pretty much gone from this board for atleast a year.

It looks like I'll be picking up Halloween H20 and The Curse of Michael Myers tomorrow. Both are in a "2 for $20" bin at a local store. My wife wants me to start getting all of my horror movies on DVD so she can get rid of the VCR, so I figure this is a step in the right direction.

I did and had to get another. Not that I prefer VHS. I just like to have it because you never know when you'll run into an old VHS tape that isn't available on DVD.

Took part in Hastings buy 1 get 1 Blu-ray sale last night at midnight. Grabbed the new An American Werewolf in London disc. It's great, the new documentary is well worth the 20 dollar price tag.

Yeah, you left us Yeah, I know, I was greatly missed! As far as the VCR is concerned, I just bought a crap load of Disney movies on VHS for my daughter, secretly using this as an excuse to save my VCR from the dumpster, so it will be around for a while still. Besides, where would I find most of my old horror movies on DVD?

I've been trying to think of some more obscure movies to post in that thread. I've been drawing a blank lately. Seriously, I'm waaaay over due to watch some horror movies. The last one I watched was Let The Right One In, and that was about a month ago.
I almost rented the Last House On The Left remake the other day, but got Twilight for my wife instead.

My Girl is die hard Twilight - loves it. What's Let The Right One In like? I've heard a lot about it, but what's it about exactly?
