I like them both to be honest. For completely different reasons. I think I enjoy the original more. They are quite different from one another, but both enjoyable. Okay cool! Thanks, I'm gonna go ahead and rent both through Netflix then.

Never was able to catch the original. But the remake was pretty fun.

I was so happy tonight! I found all of my old VHS horror movies in storage at my parents and not only found the ones I was looking for (25th Anniversay Edition of The Exorcist, TCM, Nightmare on Elm Street) but found a ton of crapthat I forgot I had. The highlight to me was Argento's Deep Red, which I believe went into storage before I ever even watched it. Also, turns out that I own most of the NOES series on VHS.

Paranormal Activity was pretty cool. Im amazed at how the EASIEST of special effects can have such a creepy outcome. Job well done for a 10,000 dollar budget. There were a few parts that had me pretty freaked out. Overall I thought it was great. The theater I was in had a HUGE line going out the door. Movie was sold out. Glad I got there early.

Bought Trick R Treat on blu ray yesterday. Took 4 people at best buy 35 minutes to find it though. It ended up being in the back. Pretty cool movie.
Been trying to get in the halloween mood. Got the halloween 2 pack at walmart, got the noes series out, watched all the fear itself shows on demand, sleep away camp's, going to the pumpkin patch today with my woman and son, and watching zombieland tonight.
Also at best buy they have a little selection of horror movies in bodybags for 9 bucks. And Target has quite a few for 5 bucks.

Hey everybody! I should really sign on here more often Today I thought I would post to talk about my day today as I attended ZombieCon X in Milwaukee, Wisconsin this morning. I gotta be honest with you guys..after 5 years of going to conventions in Chicago this is my first convention I've been to in Wisconsin and it was a dissapointment. There were hardly any vendors..the vendors consisted of a few tables with ads promoting some low-budget horror films and then another table full of dolls and another table with some foreign dvds/bootlegs. I always look forward to the vendors for some good deals on movies and posters. There was hardly anyone there! Walked in and the whole ballroom looked pretty bare..no decorations or posters hanging up..nothing. The celebrities that were there looked sort of bored but that just meant more conversation time for the fans who wanted to talk to the celebs. Everyone there seemed really nice and talkative. The highlight of the morning was that I got the chance to meet Scout-Taylor Compton! She is incredibly nice and awesome. We talked a little bit about her upcoming film "The Runaways" and she commented on how I was the only person throughout the day so far that had mentioned the film haha. I overheard a guy talking about what he had talked about with Scout and I'm not entirely sure if this is true as I haven't read any news on it but he had mentioned that he asked her about Halloween 3. She had told him that it will begin shooting in the next couple months or so..will be filming in St. Louis...and she isn't so sure yet if she is going to sign on or not yet to film because she has been offered but has turned down the offer because she hasn't read the script yet but she said in time she'll probably reconsider. Overall meeting Scout-Taylor Compton was by far the highlight of the convention. Heres a picture:

Damn, she's hot! From what I've heard filming is postponed. I read an interview with Tyler Mane where he said all of the original cast of the Zombie movies have been approached to see if they're even interested in coming back, but no other negotiations have begun.
Still, she's hot!

Yeah, I'm sure she would. "Well, you see honey, when I was younger I had a huge crush on her when she was on Roseanne and then I saw her in Urban Legend and she had got hotter! Then she was in the Halloween remake, and she showed her boobs! So, you see, it's ok that Sucka kidnapped her and sent her to me! She can live with us!"
And then, not only do I get divorced, but I go to jail. Meh.
No idea what I'm watching tonight. I watched Ghostbusters with my daughter today, which was great, but I have no idea what to watch tonight. I almost stuck The Exorcist on, but my wife will be home before it's over and I can't stand when a movie gets interupted.

I've been working alot..writing my new script..the reason I haven't been on here much (facebook is basically the only site I go on nowadays) is that I've been working on a film project this past summer...that fell through but now I'm working on a new film project for a local film festival that's in december so i've been busy and I graduated highschool this year so I'm saving up funds for filmschool. Going on a tour at a filmschool campus in Chicago next month so that's going to be awesome.
I've finally watched TrickRTreat yesterday and I must say..that and paranormal activity have to be the two best horror films ive seen in quite sometime. Saw Paranormal Activity couple weeks ago and throughout the movie people were like screaming and covering their eyes during the intense parts but that last fifteen minutes of the movie sure got insane and peoples eyes were glued to the screen and the ending will never be forgotten. The ending (much like Blair Witch Project's ending) left such a mark in my mind that I will NEVER forget that rush of fear and intensity during that last minute of the film. Left everyone in the theatre pretty much speechless. Not only a great film but a great theatrical experience or as Dane Cook calls it...a "Cinematic Adventure"

I saw Halloween II yesterday. I thought it was alright, but not as good as the first Rob Zombie one. I enjoyed the violence aspect of it though. Very gory, expecially when he chops that guys head of with a piece of glass and stabs that black woman like 20 times. Does anyone here know of Rob Zombie's going to be making Halloween III?

Nope. The folks who did My Bloody Valentine 3D are attached to Halloween 3

Nope. The folks who did My Bloody Valentine 3D are attached to Halloween 3 . Do you know if they will continue from Halloween II or not? I'm assuming if they do, there gunna use Angel Myers as the new Michael Myers.

I'm not sure. But I do think that if they continue that storyline, Michael will be back. It's going to be shot in 3D. They'll not put out a Halloween movie for the first time in 3D with no Michael.

So what does everyone think of Twisted Pictures taking the rights to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre away from Platinum Dunes?
Leatherface is my favorite modern horror slasher. TCM 3 and the Next Generation were sort of semi reboots in their own right...Aside from a few cameos the only films that had real story connections were the first two.
I think the remake and the prequel were just too polished to be Chainsaw films, the only saving grace was R Lee's sheriff and for the most part Leatherface.
My biggest fear would be taking it in a direction like Saw, quick editing and shakey cam.
