Yeah, with most Smiths songs, the tunes are bright and happy, but the sentiment is anything but. Quite a few Beatles songs were like that...and I was shocked to discover that most of those songs were written by Paul and not John. |

Quite a few Beatles songs were like that...and I was shocked to discover that most of those songs were written by Paul and not John. I'm glad I'm not the first one to say it. One of my favorite beetles song's is, "Run for Your Life" which to me is like the ultimate wife-beater anthem... but that's not why I like it! My all time favorite sad song is Ain't No Sunshine by Bill Withers- Such passion in that song it's unreal. |
